Reliability of data reports can be determined by a device that receives a number of reports from different sources. One method includes: receiving data reports from devices. The data reports are associated with an occurrence of an event. The method also includes determining reliability data representing reliability of the data reports. The reliability can be determined based on one or more different defined characteristics such as the location at which a data report was generated relative to the location of the event, whether the data report was the most recently-received data report and/or the number of data reports reporting that an event is ongoing relative to the number of data reports reporting that the event is no longer ongoing. The method can also include determining whether a data report includes information indicative of a false positive report or a false negative report.

Concurrent provisioning of preferences for members of an environment is facilitated. A method identifies a characteristic of an environment, wherein the characteristic is based on profile information associated with entities in the environment. The method also determines control information associated with providing preferences associated with the characteristic. In another case, an apparatus stores first profile information for a first entity, wherein the first profile information is configured to be evaluated, along with second profile information associated with a second entity, by a receiving device in an environment. In another case, an apparatus retrieves, from a device in an environment, profile information associated with entities in the environment. The apparatus can determine support care based on the profile information.

Offers are provided based on an aggregate need. Data is collected data from a plurality of different communication devices. The data collected from each respective communication device indicates a need for a product associated with the respective communication device. An aggregate need for the product is determined based on the collected data. A determination is also made whether the aggregate need for the product meets a threshold. Responsive to determining that the aggregate need for the product meets the threshold, an offer for fulfilling the need for the product is sent to each respective communication device from which the data was collected that indicated the need for the product.
