Abstract: The technologies described herein are generally directed to, in response to feature activation at an access point, planning and deploying service elements of a network service across transport and core network segments in a fifth generation (5G) network or other next generation networks. For example, a method described herein can include receiving a request to implement a network service in a network that includes access point equipment connected via a transport segment to a core network segment. The method can further include, based on the request, selecting deployment locations in the network for service elements to enable the network service, with an element of the service elements being selected to be deployed at a deployment location. Further, the method can include deploying the service element at the selected deployment location.
