The device comprises an elongated body member in the form of a threaded rod. The elongated body member comprises test elements that have material properties responsive to the corrosive components. In one example, the test elements comprise cylindrical tubes that can slide onto the threaded rod. The assembly is positioned in flow streams and, more particularly, finds particular use in the flow stream of fluid found in an inlet system that couples with a turbine (e.g., a gas or steam turbine).

    摘要: A spring loaded filter clamping frame includes a rear frame section which defines an interior space to secure a filter element. The rear frame section includes a projection extending toward the interior space and a rear latch mechanism. A front frame section defines an interior space and is slidably engaged with the rear frame section. An aperture in the front frame section interacts with the projection. A front latch mechanism with a latch mechanism biasing member interacts with the rear latch mechanism. A frame biasing member is located between the rear frame section and the front frame section. The frame biasing member applies a force urging the rear frame section and the front frame section apart, resulting in a filter clamping frame. In further examples, the frame biasing member is a coil spring and the latch mechanisms are hooks.

    摘要: Embodiments of the present invention secure a filter component to a filter system, via magnetism. Here, at least one magnet is attached to a structure of the filter system. Embodiments of the present invention include a filter connection apparatus for use in a filtering system that provides an ingested airstream to an inlet system. In particular, some embodiments of the present invention provide use a magnet to secure the filter to the filter system and gradually compress the filter against a sealing face of a filter frame. Furthermore, the magnet may comprise many forms, including permanent and non-permanent magnets.

    摘要: A moisture removal system for removing water moisture from an air stream and an associated method are provided. The moisture removal system includes one or more packed beds that include a water-entry surface at which liquid water is received and an air-entry surface that is located substantially opposite the water-entry surface and at which the air stream is received. The air stream passes through the one or more packed beds in a direction substantially counter-current to the passage of the liquid water and the liquid water and the air stream contact one another in the one or more packed beds resulting in the removal of at least a portion of the water moisture from the air stream. The moisture removal system can be located upstream of and be operably connected to the inlet of a gas turbine system to which the air stream is delivered from the moisture removal system.

Here, at least one magnet is attached to a structure having metallic surfaces that engage an airstream entering an inlet system of a turbomachine. This structure is connected to the inlet system and operates as the mist eliminator. Depending on the velocity of the entering airstream, and the orientation of the magnets, the mist eliminator may repel the mist particles, which will separate from the airstream. Alternatively, the mist particles may be attracted to the mist eliminator. Here, the mist particles may separate from the airstream and then condense.
