摘要: The present invention provides methods and systems for an ion generator mounting device for application of bipolar ionization to airflow within a conduit, the device includes a housing for mounting to the conduit having an internal panel within the enclosure, and an arm extending from the housing for extension into the conduit and containing at least one opening. At least one coupling for mounting an ion generator to the arm oriented with an axis extending between a pair of electrodes of the ion generator being generally perpendicular to a flow direction of the airflow within the conduit.

The ionized airflow may be delivered to a conditioned airspace by an HVAC system. In alternate applications, the airflow delivers ionized combustion air to an engine. The invention also includes a mounting assembly for positioning one or more ion generators into an airflow.

摘要: A method for air purification is disclosed, comprising directing air through a particle removal filter that acts to filter the air for particle phase pollutants to thereby produce particulate filtered air; and directing an amount of the particulate filtered air through a gas removal filter that acts to filter the particulate filtered air for gas phase pollutants to thereby produce gas filtered air; the particle removal filter with the first blower and the gas removal filter with the second blower are housed in different enclosures and they are allowed to operate in a way that; the two different units are selectable to operate separately without connection in a first mode, and to operate together connectively in a second mode; when the two different units are selected to operate together connectively in the second mode, the amount of particulate filtered air directed through the gas removal filter is based on a concentration of particle phase pollutants in the air.

摘要: A flexible electrode assembly for an air treatment device comprising: a flexible dielectric layer forming an insulating sheet; a plurality of conductive tracks on a first side of the insulating sheet; a conductive layer on a second side of the insulating sheet; wherein supply of voltage to the conducting tracks and the conductive layer generates plasma which is discharged from the conducting tracks. In a further aspect, the present invention also provides an air treatment apparatus for removal of health threatening airborne pollutants, which may include pathogens, from an air flow, the air treatment apparatus comprising an apparatus having a generally cyclonic-shaped geometry comprising a cylindrical section and a conical section. The present invention also relates to an air treatment device comprising the flexible electrode assembly.
