摘要: Filter systems, filters, and methods of managing filter systems are provided. The filter systems utilize large filters that are too large to be manually handled by service personnel. As such, the filter systems and methods utilize filter positioning units for handling the filters during maintenance intervals. Some systems include sensor for remotely monitoring the status of the filters and the information can be used to reverse pulse the filters as well as to indicate the end of the service life of the filters. The filters can be refurbished with new filter media.

摘要: A system for use with an inlet of a gas turbine through which airflow toward the gas turbine proceeds is provided and includes a first stage to remove primary aerosol droplets from the airflow by coalescing the primary aerosol droplets into secondary aerosol droplets, which are larger than the primary aerosol droplets, and to remove solid particulates from the airflow, a second water tight stage, disposed downstream from the first stage, to prevent the secondary aerosol droplets and aqueous solutions of deliquesced particulates, which are not removed by the first stage and which are re-released into the airflow from the first stage, from proceeding along the airflow and to remove solid particulates not removed by the first stage from the airflow, and a third water removal stage, disposed downstream from the second stage, to remove from the airflow the remaining secondary aerosol droplets leaking from the first and second stages.

摘要: A portable filter testing assembly for testing filter elements is provided. The portable filter testing assembly includes a first modular component including filter elements disposed within an interior and a fluid flow inlet. The testing assembly further includes a second modular component in fluid communication with the first modular component and includes fluid flow drawing means for drawing fluid flow through the filter elements of the first modular component such that the fluid flow is filtered by the filter elements. Each of the first modular component and second modular component includes an external structure of a modular International Organization for Standardization (ISO) shipping container. A kit of plural modular components for testing filter elements is provided. A method of using ISO modular components for testing filter elements is also provided.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide an inertial filtration system for air-ingesting machines. The inertial filter 100 may comprise a reducer 133 downstream of a vortex generator. The reducer 133 decreases the area that the airstream flows through, which may increase the angular momentum and the centrifugal forces acting on the particles of the ingested airstream. This may increase the cleaning performance and a decrease in the pressure drop across the inertial filter 100. Generally, the inertial filter functions such that flow components of higher density are separated from the rest of the airstream. The higher density flow components are bled out of the inertial filter 100 via an outlet 135. The remaining flow components flow downstream to compressor section 535.

A first dimension of the filtration unit measured between the exterior of the first portion and the opening is greater than a second dimension of the filtration unit measured between the exterior of the second portion and the opening. In a further example, the filtration unit is mounted in a top section and a bottom section of a holding frame.
