Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a phase change material (PCM) composition and a process for preparation thereof, wherein said composition comprising a phase change material, glass fibers and xanthan gum. In a preferred embodiment, the phase change material is water (or ice) and the g lass fibers are glass wool. The disclosure also relates to a stackable and sealable package enclosing the PCM composition. In a particular embodiment, the PCM composition is used to prepare a cold box that may be used in cold chain transportation.

Abstract: A method of synthesizing a water-dispersible conductive polymeric composite comprising mixing an aqueous suspension comprising optionally substituted azulene monomers and a dopant precursor such as polystyrene sulfonic acid with an oxidizing agent and a catalyst to form a doped poly(azulene) suspension wherein the poly(azulene)/dopant molar ratio is 1:1 to 1:6. The doped poly(azulene) suspension is then contacted with acidic and basic resins to remove the oxidizing agent and catalyst. The resulting suspension is then filtered through a membrane such as polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) to afford a purified suspension comprising the water-dispersible conductive polymeric composite. A water-dispersible conductive polymeric composite comprising an optionally substituted poly(azulene) doped by a dopant such as polystyrene sulfonate wherein the poly(azulene)/dopant molar ratio is 1:1 to 1:6 is also disclosed.

Abstract: A thermal control system with new phase change material (PCM) formulations that are able to maintain the system interior in a temperature range of, for example, −15 to −40° C., for a tunable working period from several hours to approximately half a day, is provided. The composition includes the inorganic and organic materials. The inorganic materials include the inorganic salts and various functional additives; while the organic materials include fatty acids, hydrocarbons and various nanostructures.
