In an embodiment, a method may include receiving an identification of a conversation including a plurality of conversation participants within a group messaging system. A request to schedule an event relative to the conversation may be received. An event having a plurality of event participants may be created based on, at least in part, the plurality of conversation participants. The method may further include transmitting a notification of the event to the plurality of event participants.
