    摘要: The electrical properties and high-temperature characteristics of an electrolytic capacitor are rendered satisfactory by addition of a compound with an unsaturated bond-containing chain which serves to absorb hydrogen gas generated by reaction between the aluminum electrode foil and the electrolyte solution. The electrolytic capacitor contains the unsaturated compound which allows hydrogen addition, or the electrolytic solution, which comprises a solvent composed of 10-80 wt % of an organic solvent and 90-20 wt % water and at least one electrolyte selected from the group consisting of carboxylic acids or their salts and inorganic acids or their salts, also comprises one or more unsaturated compounds which are water-soluble or soluble in polar and protic polar solvents.

By comprehending the status of accesses to the HDD, the sections where error has occurred and the status of restoration thereof, it becomes possible to detect defective or error sections efficiently at an early stage, according to which the reliability and access performance of the storage subsystem can be improved. The present storage subsystem executes one or more of the following processes: (M1) intensive verification of a circumference of an error LBA, (M2) an area-based prioritized verification, and (M3) continuous verification performed for a long period of time to (V1) an area in which error has occurred via IO access, (V2) a highly accessed area, and (V3) during a period of time when IO access is low.

    摘要: The present application discloses an external composition for skin comprising a component obtaind by washing a bacterium of the genus Sphingomonas with acetone and then extracting the resultant with alcohol or alcohol-water mixture; an external composition for skin comprising a component extracted from a white bacterium of the genus Sphingomonas; and an external composition for skin comprising a sphingoglycolipid represented by the following formula: where, R1 represents a sugar portion consisting of a single uronic acid or one to four hexoses selected from a group consisting of uronic acid, glucosamine, galactose and mannose; R2 represents an alkyl group which may have a cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group or an alkynyl group; and R3 represents an alkyl group; these alkyl, alkenyl and alkynyl groups being straight or branched, and substituted or unsubstituted. These external compositions for skin exhibit excellent moisturizing and skin roughnes prevention effects.

    摘要: A recording sheet has a base and a receptive layer disposed on at least one surface of the base. The receptive layer contains at least a water-absorbent copolymer and said water-resistant graft copolymer whose main chain is polyvinyl alcohol. The water-absorbent copolymer absorbs inks, and the water-resistant graft copolymer makes the receptive layer resistant to discoloration, blurring, and gloss or luster irregularities. The water-absorbent graft copolymer comprises a graft copolymer produced by grafting a vinyl monomer having a carboxyl group and a monomer having a functional group reacting with the carboxyl group. The water-absorbent copolymer comprises a copolymer of acrylic acid and vinyl alcohol. The water-resistant graft copolymer and the water-absorbent copolymer are added at a ratio in parts by weight ranging from 20/80 to 80/20, preferably, from 30/70 to 70/30.

    摘要: The present invention is a method for screening a remedy for breast cancer which does not require uptake into cells unlike aromatase inhibitors, estrogen sulfatase inhibitors, or estrogen competitive inhibitors such as tamoxifen and toremifene, and which shows excellent drug delivery property and extremely rare adverse effect. In the method, a remedy for breast cancer which inhibits transporter function is screened by the process comprising the steps of: culturing a cultured human breast cancer cell line such as MCF-7 cell line or T-47D cell line in the presence of estrone-3-sulfate and a test substance such as bromosulfophtalein; and evaluating whether the uptake of estrone-3-sulfate into cells via estrone-3-sulfate transporters expressed on the cell surface is inhibited, and whether the proliferation of MCF-7 cell line is suppressed.
