摘要： A developing device includes a developing sleeve for carrying a developer for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on an image bearing member, a magnet for carrying the developer on the sleeve, and a regulating member for regulating an amount of the developer carried on the sleeve. Magnetic poles of the magnet are disposed so that a circumferential direction component of a magnetic force acting on a magnetic carrier of the developer contacting at least a part of an upstream regulating surface of the regulating member with respect to the direction of rotation of the sleeve is opposite from the direction of the rotation.

摘要： A developing device includes a developing sleeve for carrying a developer containing a magnetic carrier and a non magnetic toner; a magnet, provided in the sleeve and including a plurality of magnetic poles disposed along a circumferential direction of the sleeve, for carrying the developer on the sleeve; and a regulating member, provided opposed to the sleeve with a predetermined spacing in a region in which the magnetic poles different in polarity are adjacent to each other, for regulating an amount of the developer carried on the sleeve. The magnetic poles are disposed so that a circumferential direction component of a magnetic force acting on the magnetic carrier contacting at least a part of an upstream regulating surface of the regulating member with respect to the circumferential direction of rotation of the sleeve is opposite from the circumferential direction of the rotation.

The second element is arranged substantially in parallel with the first element so as to be coupled to the first element. The third element is arranged to define a predetermined angle with the first element, with a vertex of the predetermined angle set to a vicinity of the first feed point and the second feed point. The first element has a linear shape so as to have an inductive property at a resonance frequency. The third element has a linear shape so as to have a capacitive property at the resonance frequency. The third element is connected to a ground-side end portion of the second element.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a developing apparatus for developing an electrostatic image with a developer comprising at least a toner and a first external additive, the developing apparatus including a plurality of developing devices, containing toners different in color or lightness from each other, in which at least two developing devices contain a dark color toner and a light color toner which have an identical hue and different lightnesses and the developing device containing the light color toner is subjected to a developing operation prior to another developing device; a first transfer apparatus for sequentially transferring toner images, which have been developed by the plurality of developing devices, onto an intermediary transfer member; and a second transfer apparatus for transferring the toner images from the intermediary transfer member all together onto a transfer medium The first external additive includes particles having an aspect ratio of not less than 1.0 and not more than 1.5 and a number-average particle size of not less than 0.06 μm and not more than 0.3 μm, and has a coverage thereof with respect to the light color toner larger than that with respect to the dark color toner in a transferred state on the intermediary transfer member.
