    摘要: An impact dot print head for printing without impact noise when returning to the non-printed position includes a base. An arm is mounted for movement between a non-print position and a print position. A print wire is mounted on the arm. A first device selectively drives the arm towards the print position by bias or magnetic force. A second device returns the arm to the non-print position and maintains the arm at that position without causing the arm to impact any member of the print head when returning to the print position. The second device uses balanced magnetic attraction or repulsion and/or bias forces to hold the arm out of contact with other parts of the printer other than at its point of mounting when at the non-print position.

    摘要: A printer utilizes an impact dot print head achieving higher drive acceleration and resultant velocity for driving a print wire without notable increase in the moment of inertia through the provision of magnetic influencing means on adjacent or opposite sides of the print wire lever fulcrum or rotation center. The length of the print wire actuating lever between the rotation center and the print wire connection on one side of the lever is longer than the length of the lever between the rotation center and the point of magnetic influence on the other side of the lever. Thus, angular moment for driving a print wire actuating lever can be increased without notable increase of the moment of inertia by employing a magnetic influencing means on opposite sides of the rotation center of the print wire actuating lever. Therefore, an increase in the speed of printing can be achieved in the employment of the disclosed magnetic influencing means without any accompanying problems due to increased inertial mass of the print wire operating mechanism.

    摘要: A printing head for a wire dot printer includes a plurality of printing levers connected to a corresponding plurality of printing wires. A plurality of guide holes are operable for guiding the distal ends of the printing wires beyond a nose of the printing head. Each guide hole corresponds to one of the plurality of printing levers. As viewed from the nose of the printing head, each printing lever extends radially from its corresponding guide hole and the inner ends of the printing levers form a zig-zag pattern. A plurality of plate springs provides the resilient force to push the printing levers and thereby the printing wires toward the nose of the printing head. A spacer for supporting the plate springs equalizes the effective length of each plate spring.

    摘要: A print hammer having an improved head portion for striking a selected moving print character member in a line printing device is provided. The printing device prints when the print hammer strikes a print character member at a predetermined print position forcing the character member against an ink ribbon, a print paper and a platen. The head portion is formed with an inclined surface facing the direction of approaching adjacent character members to drive an adjacent character member striking the side of the print hammer around the print hammer for avoiding jamming and damage to character members and print hammers. In a preferred embodiment the head portion is substantially "V" shaped with the apex of the V disposed in a direction opposite to the movement of the print character members.

    摘要: An improved wire dot print head assembly for a wire dot printer including a resilient securing spring for holding the assembly elements secure is provided. The print head assembly includes a plurality of print wires, each selectively driven through a print nose by a plurality of electromagnets disposed about the print wires. A pivotable operating member engaged to the input end of the wire is actuated by an electromagnet with the fulcrum end of the operating member secured by a holding member. The holding member, nose, electromagnet and operating member are compressively retained by the resilient securing spring. The holding member is formed with a projection extending through the fulcum portion of the operating member to minimize magnetic reluctance of the magnetic flux by minimizing an air gap between a plunger mounted on the operating member and a yoke plate. The print head constructed in accordance with the invention permits improved dimensional accuracy in a simplified construction.

    摘要: A wire dot printer using a plurality of print wires to print on a printing medium. The printer includes a print head unit, a guide member defining a wire nose mounted on one end of the print head unit, and a wire guide member mounted proximate one end of the guide member and including a plurality of openings for guiding the print wires. A supporting member is mounted on the guide member on the one end thereof and has a first surface for coupling the supporting member to a carriage. The supporting member has an end surface having an opening therein corresponding in shape to that of the end of the guide member supporting the wire guide member. The wire guide member is positioned and supported in the opening in the supporting member. The guide member also includes a plurality of spaced wire guide plates which include a plurality of holes aligned therein through which the print wires extend for guiding the print wires.
