摘要： A facsimile apparatus includes a plurality of image reading units, each reading an image and converting the read image into image data, and a main controlling unit for receiving image data through a communication line and transmitting the received image data through another communication line to another facsimile apparatus of a destination. In the main controlling unit of the facsimile apparatus, a selector selects one of the image reading units, and a communication line connection controller connects the main controlling unit through the communication line with the selected one of the image reading units. Further, a data receiver receives image data from one of the image reading units cconnected throught the comunication line by the communication line connection controller.

摘要： A facsimile apparatus according to the present invention includes a detecting device for detecting that originals are placed on a placing portion, a transmitting destination setting device for setting a destination to which the images of the originals placed on the placing portion are transmitted, a reading device for reading images of the originals placed on the placing portion to output an image signal, transmitting device for transmitting the image signal outputted from the reading device to the set destination, a mode specifying device for specifying a mode in which after transmitting the image signal of the first group of originals placed on the placing portion, an image signal of the second group of originals placed on the placing portion different from the first group of originals is transmitted to the same transmission destination as the first originals, and controlling device for controlling the transmitting device so that an image signal of the placed originals is transmitted to the destination when the destination is set and originals placed on the placing portion are detected, and for controlling the transmitting device so that, when a predetermined mode is specified, when it is detected that the second group of originals are placed on the placing portion after transmitting the image signal of the first group of originals to the destination, the image signal of the second group of originals is transmitted to the transmission destination the same as the transmission destination of the first group of originals.

摘要： A facsimile device, which receives picture data of an original document, which is constituted by a plurality of data lines, through a telephone line and records the received picture data onto a record sheet, has a counting device for counting the number of the received data lines, an operation device for comparing the number of the data lines with a predetermined value and evaluating the number of data lines exceeding the predetermined value as an excess number, a determination device for determining whether each of the received data lines is valid or invalid picture data, a data processing device for removing the data lines that are invalid picture data, the number of which corresponds to the excess number, out of the received data lines in accordance with the determination by the determination device, and a recording device for recording the remaining received data lines processed by the data processing device onto the record sheet. A processing method is also disclosed and claimed.

摘要： A facsimile machine has a paper discharge tray, and a device for shifting image-carrying recording paper as placed on the discharge tray. The recording paper further carries information relating to senders as recorded on a leading end margin thereof. The shifting device is operable for shifting the recording paper in the direction of paper discharge in timed relation to an operation for recording each series of image data. Consequently, the recording paper is sorted on the discharge tray for visual identification of the senders.
