    摘要: A catalyst for polymerizing .alpha.-olefins composed of a titanium composition formed by heating a co-comminuted mixture of a magnesium halide and a complex of an aluminum halide and a carboxylic acid ester of the formula R.sup.1 COOR.sup.2, with titanium tetra-chloride; and an organic aluminum compound of the formula AlR.sup.3 mH.sup.3 --m; and optionally added thereto at least one component selected from an alkyl aluminum halide of the formula AlR.sup.4 nX.sub.3 --n; a carboxylic acid ester of the formula R.sup.5 COOR.sup.6 ; and its complex formed with an aluminum halide; is disclosed.

    摘要: Polymerization of ethylene or .alpha.-olefins using a catalyst comprising a titanium component obtained by copulverizing the starting titanium component of Ziegler catalysts and organoaluminum compound with a small amount of ethylene or .alpha.-olefins, and an organoaluminum component. The titanium catalyst component can be modified by subjecting the copulverized titanium component to a contact with an inert organic solvent or its mixture with a modifier (1) an oxygen-, sulphur-, phosphor-, nitrogen- or silicon- containing organic compound, (2) a combination of such an organic compound and an aluminum halide, (3) an organoaluminum compound or (4) a Lewis acid.

    摘要: Polymerization of ethylene or .alpha.-olefins is carried out with use of a catalyst comprising a modified titanium component obtained by pulverizing the starting titanium component of Ziegler solid catalysts and subjecting the resultant to a modification treatment through contact with an inert organic solvent or a mixture thereof with a modifier, and an organoaluminum component.The pulverized product of the starting titanium component is pulverized together with an organoaluminum compound and a small amount of ethylene or .alpha.-olefins thereby controlling the particle size distribution.

Prior to the reaction, the alloy powder is obtained by grinding treatment using a ball mill or a vibration ball mill. The reaction is conducted with agitation in the presence of abrasive particles or is conducted using a homogenizer without abrasive particles.

    摘要: In the polymerization of .alpha.-olefins, a titanium trichloride containing catalyst activated by copulverization with at least one additive selected fromI. an organic compound containing oxygen, sulfur or phosphorus such as:A. Organic oxygen compounds selected from ethers, ketones and esters;B. Organic sulfur compounds selected from thioethers, thiophenols and thioalcohols; andC. Organic phosphorus compounds.Ii. an organic compound of (I) containing oxygen, sulfur or phosphorus in combination with an aluminum halide, andIii. a complex or reaction product of an organic compound of (I) with an aluminum halide.Provides substantially improved catalytic activity and reduces amorphous polymeric by-products while enhancing stereoregularity. The catalytic activity of these catalysts is further enhanced by washing with an organic solvent subsequent to copulverization to remove excess additive. Preferred catalysts are those which contain aluminum chloride with the titanium trichloride. The aluminum trichloride may be provided as an integral part of the titanium trichloride, in admixture therewith, in admixture with the additive as a complex with one or more of the additives, as a reaction product of one or more of the additives or any combination of the above.
