摘要: A pyrolysis chamber for the extraction of combustible gasses from biomass waste such as wood chips has a gravity fed chamber, where fuel passes, in succession, through a pre-heating zone, an oxidation and reduction zone, a gas outlet zone and a solids offloading zone. The pre-heating zone has plasma torches which direct an air plasma into the chamber, thereby pre-heating the fuel to a temperature of 1200-1500° C., after which the fuel enters the oxidation and reduction zone, where it is exposed to a steam plasma of 1500° C. which travels through plasma torches to an annular ring distributor surrounding the chamber and having apertures directing the steam plasma into the chamber, thereby providing enhanced generation of combustible gasses of CO and H2. The combustible gasses are removed in the gas outlet zone, which has a half annular ring collector removing combustible gasses out of the chamber and half annular ring distributor injecting an air plasma into the chamber for gasification of the ash residual carbon. A solids offloading part has a rotating grate for the removal of ash and slag for delivery to a water trough.

摘要: A plasma torch is formed from a hollow electrode forming a first gap to an isolated plasma tube, the isolated plasma tube forming a second gap with a plasma outlet tube having electrically common plasma tubes which terminate into a plasma outlet. The first gap and second gap of the isolated plasma tubes are fed by a source of plasma gas such that when a voltage is applied across the electrodes, plasmas initially form across the first plasma gap and second plasma gap. The formed plasmas spread laterally until the plasmas are formed entirely from electrode to electrode and self-sustaining. Plasma gasses which are fed to the plasma torch can be metered on both sides of the electrodes to steer the plasma arc attachment axially over the extent of the hollow electrodes, thereby reducing surface wear and increasing electrode life.

摘要: An apparatus for the generation of metallic and metal oxide nanoparticles for use in the treatment of periodontal disease has a discharge chamber with a controlled flow of water, the water flowing through a plasma gap formed by electrodes, the electrodes having a pulsed voltage applied to create a plasma discharge, the pulse duration chosen to maximize the generation of nanoparticles from the electrodes which are in the range of 10 nm to 50 nm. The discharge chamber flow rate and pulse duration is controlled to maintain a particular temperature differential across the plasma gap to additionally optimize the nanoparticles population for the desired 10 nm to 20 nm size range having negative surface electric charge. The nanoparticles thereby formed may thereafter be applied to a subject in need thereof as an irrigation treatment, or as a paste applied directly to a region of periodontal disease.
