    摘要： A method of printing images, such as multicolor images, on two sides of a substrate including: (a) forming a first image on a first surface; (b) transferring the first image to a second surface from the first surface; (c) forming a second image on the first surface; (d) transferring the second image to a third surface from the first surface; and (e) simultaneously transferring the first and second images from the second and third surfaces to the two sides of a substrate. In an embodiment of the invention transferring the first image to the second surface includes transferring the first image from the first surface to the third surface and subsequently transferring it to the second surface.

The system includes apparatus for moving the developer surface such that the contiguous portions of the developer surface sequentially enter the region at an entrance and leaves the development region at an exit, apparatus for moving the electrostatic imaging surface so that it enters the development region at the exit and leaves the region at the entrance and apparatus for providing a liquid developer of a selectable color to the development region at the exit. The system also includes apparatus for transferring the developed image to a substrate.

    摘要： A method and apparatus for transferring liquid toner images from an image forming surface (10) to an intermediate transfer member (40) for subsequent transfer to a final substrate (42). the liquid toner images include carrier liquid and pigmented polymeric toner particles which are essentially non-soluble in the carrier liquid at room temperature, and which form a single phase at elevated temperatures. The method includes the steps of: concentrating the liquid toner image by compacting the solids portion of the liquid toner image and removing carrier liquid therefrom; transferring the liquid toner image to the intermediate transfer member (40), heating the liquid toner image on the intermediate transfer member (40) to a temperature at which the toner particles and the carrier liquid form a single phase; and transferring the heated liquid toner image to a final substrate (42).

    摘要： An apparatus for use as an intermediate transfer member or fusing member in an image forming device includes a cylindrical member having a thickness that is insufficient to support it in use and which is secured between two round end plates to form a cylindrical structure which is unsupported between the endplates. A liquid is incorporated within the cylindrical structure and a heater is also located within the cylindrical structure so as to heat the liquid to produce a vapor wherein the vapor is of a sufficient pressure to support the cylindrical member during use.
