    Abstract: Various embodiments provide distributed control plane functions for radio-based networks. In one embodiment, control plane network traffic for a first functionality of a control plane network function in a radio-based network is routed to a first control plane component in an edge location of the radio-based network. Control plane network traffic for a second functionality of the control plane network function in the radio-based network is routed to a second control plane component in a centralized location of the radio-based network.

    Abstract: Technologies directed to coordinated dynamic analog beamforming are described. One method includes receiving, by a digital controller of a first wireless device, a data packet, the data packet comprising a destination address of a second wireless device. The method further includes retrieving, from memory, beamformer configuration data associated with the destination address, the beamformer configuration data comprising a phase shifter angle value for a radiation pattern. The method sends, to a beamformer circuit, the phase shifter angle value, the beamformer circuit comprises a power splitter and a set of phase shifters (e.g., at least four). The method causes the set of phase shifters to steer the radiation pattern of electromagnetic energy, radiated by an antenna array of elements, at the phase shifter angle value and sends the data packet to the second wireless device via the antenna array.

    Abstract: Technologies directed to a wireless device with a Radio Frequency (RF) Decibel-Scaled Wireless Interference Detector that provides accurate energy readings of a channel through decibel-scaled output voltage are described. One method of the wireless device includes receiving a first RF signal via an antenna and converting the first RF signal to a multiple samples using a sampling rate, each sample including a digital value of a decibel-scaled output voltage. The method converts each of the samples to an energy value using a voltage-to-energy lookup table and determines a congestion level of a channel using the energy values.
