Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for automated deployment of radio-based networks. In one embodiment, a request to provision a radio-based network for a customer by a provider according to a network plan is received via an application programming interface (API) of a cloud provider network. An arrangement of a plurality of cells for the customer is determined. Respective antennas and radio units for individual ones of the plurality of cells are preconfigured to implement the radio-based network before shipping the respective antennas and the radio units to the customer.

Abstract: A mesh network device includes a radio and an application processor including a hop-aware multicast engine to: determine a mesh header time to live (TTL) value for a broadcast frame in a data link layer. The mesh header TTL value is the lessor of an internet protocol (IP) header TTL value of the first broadcast frame in an IP layer and a predefined value. The broadcast frame includes a request for a service or a resource to be sent. The hop-aware multicast engine sends the broadcast frame to a first set of mesh network devices being defined by the mesh header TTL value. The hop-aware multi-case engine determines that a response was not received within a time period; increases the mesh header TTL value; and sends a broadcast frame to a second set of one or more additional mesh network devices being defined by the increased mesh header TTL value.

Abstract: Sending short message service (SMS) messages and receiving a response report based at least in part on the sent SMS message, even if a communicative connection with the mobile communications network had been severed, so that duplication of the SMS message is avoided is disclosed. In this case, a communicative connection may be re-established and used to receive an acknowledgment from the mobile communications network and subsequently send another acknowledgement to the mobile communications network. The UE may also be configured to send an information element to the one or more elements of the mobile communications network to indicate that a communicative connection with the network is to remain established so that acknowledgements may be reconciled between the UE and the network. Additionally, the mobile communications network may be configured to transmit the SMS message only after receiving the acknowledgement from the UE, to avoid sending duplicate SMS messages.

Abstract: In an implementation, an electronic device may obtain a configuration file from a device provider. The configuration file may include settings of a number of communications providers for communicating over a wireless wide area network. A subscriber identification module (SIM) card may include information, such as a communications provider identifier, that is utilized to determine the settings for a modem of the electronic device. Abstract: Systems and approaches are provided to enable multiple user devices to share data between devices. In one scenario, a user may click on or touch a telephone hyperlink from a browser of a desktop computer to initiate a telephone call from the user's mobile phone. In another situation, a user may begin various computing tasks from a tablet in the evening, share data associated relating to her work with a business computer, and complete her tasks the next day in the office with little to no minimal disruption to her work flow. In effect, the user may “cut” or “copy” data from a first personal computing device and paste that “data” onto a second computing device.
