摘要: A native binding technique is provided for inserting calls to native functions during translation of subject code to target code, such that function calls in the subject program to subject code functions are replaced in target code with calls to native equivalents of the same functions. Parameters of native function calls are transformed from target code representations to be consistent with native code representations, native code calling conventions, and native function prototypes.

摘要: An improved method and apparatus for performing program code conversion is provided and, more particularly, for generating improved intermediate representations for use in program code conversion. During program code conversion, a partial dead code elimination optimization technique is implemented to identify partially dead register definitions within a block of program code being translated. The partial dead code elimination is an optimization to the intermediate representation in the form of code motion for blocks of program code ending in non-computed branches or computed jumps, where target code for all dead child nodes of a partially dead register definition is prevented from being generated and target code for partially dead child nodes of a partially dead register definition is delayed from being generated until after target code is generated for all fully live child nodes for the partially dead register definition.

摘要: System and methods are provided for displaying objects at a treatment display screen coupled to an apparatus for performing a treatment. A first arrangement of the objects is presented at the treatment display screen. At least some objects of the first arrangement of the objects are in a fixed state on the treatment display screen. A rearrangement mode of operation of the treatment display screen is activated. The objects of the first arrangement of the objects are changed from the fixed state to a fluid state that allows for rearrangement of the objects of the first arrangement of the objects to a second arrangement of the objects that is different than the first arrangement of the objects. The treatment is prevented from being performed during operation in the rearrangement mode. The second arrangement of the objects is presented at the treatment display screen during operation in the rearrangement mode.

摘要: The invention relates to a novel purified recombinant αVβ3 adhesion receptor which shows an unimpaired ligand binding activity, and a process for preparing said soluble non-membrane bound receptor in excellent yields by recombinant techniques using a baculovirus-insect cell expression system. The so-synthesized soluble receptor may be used very easily as screening tool for new therapeutic compounds which may inhibit the natural αVβ3 adhesion receptor. Such therapeutic compounds which can be discovered very easily, fast and without health risk by means of the soluble receptors according to the invention may be, for example, RGD peptides or non-peptidic compounds mimicking the natural ligand epitopes. The invention relates, furthermore, to a corresponding process for preparing recombinant full-length αVβ3 adhesion receptor in excellent yields, additionally using detergents to dissolve the membrane bound receptor from the surface of the host cell.

摘要: A partitioning technique utilized by a translator to divide the subject code space into regions, referred to hereafter as partitions, where each partition contains a distinct set of basic blocks of subject code and corresponding target code. The partitioning technique divides the translator's representation of subject code and subject code translations into non-overlapping regions of subject memory. In this manner, when the subject program modifies subject code, only those partitions actually affected by the self-modifying code need be discarded and all translations in unaffected partitions can be kept. This partitioning technique is advantageous in limiting the amount of target code that must be retranslated in response to self-modifying code operation. In another process, the partitioning technique allows multithreaded subject programs that also involve self-modifying code to perform code modification in a thread-safe manner.
