摘要: A heart support featuring a sheath sized to fit about at least a portion of an adult human heart in a living body and an expandable chamber disposed within the sheath so as to apply pressure against the heart when expanded. The expandable chamber is at least partially defined by a foldable chamber wall that folds with the chamber in a collapsed state, and unfolds as the chamber expands.

摘要: The present invention proposes a computerized method and means for providing an improved handling of messages directed to an user of an electronic messaging system. The suggested method comprises a first step of determining user characteristics capable of identifying the user as an addressee of a message. The method further comprises a second step of analyzing a certain message and determining its message characteristics exploiting the information contained in one or a multitude of message fields. The method finally comprises a third step of applying at least one deduction rule of a potential set of deduction rules to said certain message. The deduction rule assigns based on the user characteristics and the message characteristics a role of said user to said certain message. The role is capable of revealing said user's relationship to said certain message.

摘要: The present invention provides facilities for tagging files or data with attribute information in the form of a file tag (TAGINFO) which contains an identifier for text information (TEXTFLAG) and an attribute (COSID) for identifying encoding schemes. TXTFLAG is an auto conversion flag. Furthermore, a runtime attribute (process CCSLD) is assigned to a process specifying the runtime encoding scheme. A conversion is done automatically by an auto conversion function if both CCSIDs allow a conversion. Files having no file tag are tagged with a virtual file tag by means of an automatic tagging (AUTOTAG) function using heuristic rules for determining whether the data or file contains text or binary information. Old applications must work with untagged files as before. Existing applications should be able to benefit from auto conversion and thereby to be enabled to process new, tagged files without code changes.

摘要: A method for reducing image artifacts caused, for example, by beam hardening includes acquiring at least two projections of a transirradiated object are acquired from different perspectives by an X-ray emitter and an X-ray detector defining a projection plane. A correction model that is linear in parameters and is valid for the at least two projections is determined. At least two epipolar lines corresponding to a common epipolar plane are identified in the projection planes of the at least two projections. The parameters of the correction model are determined by optimization, taking account of data terms that are independent of the parameters. The data terms quantify a consistency condition of the at least two projections that applies to the epipolar lines. Artifact-reduced image data is determined based on the determined parameters.
