    摘要： A hard disk drive, its use and production are described. A read/write disk stores digital data. A spindle motor supports the read/write disk for controlled rotation thereof. A head arrangement moves to selectively access the read/write disk in a data access mode and moves to a parked position. A dedicated input is receives a first sensor related input signal. A processing arrangement executes the data access mode by cooperatively controlling the spindle motor and the head arrangement, monitoring the sensor related input signal for a predetermined characteristic thereof, and responsive to detection of the characteristic, at least moves the head arrangement to the parked position. A hard disk drive multi-sensor group, monitoring technique and interface are described.

    摘要： Systems and methods are provided for programming a remote control to remotely operate a media device. The remote control is configured to communicate with and remotely control a media unit that is adapted to provide media content to a media device (e.g., a television). The media unit receives an identifier of the media device, and identifies wireless protocol codes for remotely operating the media device. The media unit wirelessly transmits the identified wireless protocol codes to the remote control, which are utilized to program the remote control to remotely operate the media device in addition to the media unit.

    摘要： A means and method for arbitrarily coordinating a tactile vibratory stimulus with an audio stimulus. There is provided an adult-type sex toy, and associated method, with a vibrator and audio player in which the audio player is augmented with additional circuitry and firmware, such that the audio player is in signal communication with the vibrator to to control the speed of the vibrator motor. The motor speed, however, is not correlated with raw audio signal strength or frequency. Rather, the vibrator motor speed is regulated by motor speed information embedded with the audio file being played back. Accordingly, the apparatus audio player can play back an erotic story, for example, while automatically coordinating the vibrator motor speed in concert with the perceived content of the audible story as heard by the user-listener.

    摘要： A computerized system is described (i) which includes an interface connected with a peripheral device and (ii) which is incapable of dynamically extending bus cycle timing if required by the peripheral device to carry out a particular current operation. This computerized system includes a given peripheral device which, during normal operation of the device, can require an extension of bus cycle timing to carry out the current operation. This device generates a specific signal when the extension is required. The device is connected with the interface of the computerized system and the system is configured to cause the system (i) to recognize the specific signal and (ii) to instruct the peripheral device to retry the current operation responsive to the specific signal. In a particular embodiment, the peripheral device is a disk drive having an ATA interface and the specific signal generated by the disk drive is an IORDY signal.
