摘要: A method, apparatus, and software are provided for using an optically-readable code such as a quick-response (QR) code. The optically-readable code may represent a uniform resource identifier (URI) including parameters that represent a query, such as a query for content and/or other data. The query results may be used to command a content consumption device to record or otherwise obtain an item of content. The optically-readable code may additionally or alternatively be determined based upon a status of the device, such as what content, or portion thereof, is currently being displayed, and/or what error condition is being experienced.

摘要: Methods, systems, and media for providing personalized notifications to video viewers are provided. In some embodiments, the method comprises: receiving, using a hardware processor, one or more prompts to be presented in association with a video from a user account associated with the video; receiving, from the user account associated with the video, one or more notifications, wherein each of the one or more prompts is associated with one of the one or more notifications; causing the one or more prompts to be presented in association with presentation of the video to a user; receiving an indication that a first prompt of the one or more of the prompts was selected by the user; causing a notification associated with the first prompt to be presented to the user in response to receiving the indication.

摘要: A broadcast reception device receives a digital broadcast service capable of executing an application cooperating with a broadcast program, and is provided with: a broadcast reception unit which receives broadcast waves of the digital broadcast service; a separation unit which separates video information relating to the broadcast program and application-related information from the received broadcast waves; a broadcast video decoding unit which decodes the video information relating to the broadcast program; an application acquisition unit which acquires an application on the basis of location information included in the application-related information; an application execution unit which executes the acquired application and acquires additional data from a server device; a video conversion unit which converts broadcast program video decoded by the broadcast decoding unit into high-quality video having a higher quality than the video using the acquired additional data; and a display unit which is able to display the high-quality video.

摘要: A network device is configured to perform functions including (i) operating in a first playback-control mode including retrieving, via a first network interface, first media in a playback queue and streaming, via a second network interface to a headphone, the first media (ii) while streaming the first media to the headphone, displaying a representation of one or more playback devices in a media playback system, (iii) receiving input indicating a selection of a given playback device, (iv) based on the input, causing the given playback device to obtain data indicating the second media in the playback queue, use the obtained data to retrieve the second media, and play back the retrieved second media, and (v) after receiving the input, stopping streaming the retrieved first media and transitioning from operating in the first playback-control mode to operating in a second playback-control mode to control the given playback device's playback of the second media.

摘要: A method provides for tracking client playback events when playing an asset specified in a manifest for streaming adaptive bit rate (ABR) content. The method includes generating, with a manifest manipulator, a manifest that includes an asset URL inserted at a marker denoting a placement opportunity in a content manifest requested by a client. The manifest also includes callback URLs for tracking playback events to be returned by the client. The manifest manipulator sends the manifest to the client. At least one of the callback URLs is received by a tracking proxy associated with the manifest manipulator, indicating that the event has been performed by the client. In response, a tracking URL is obtained by the tracking proxy. The tracking URL is sent to at least one asset decision system participating in an asset decision process that resulted in providing the asset URL to the manifest manipulator.

In some embodiments, the method comprises: receiving, from a user device, a request for a URL corresponding to a format of a live stream that is provided in a plurality of formats, wherein the live stream comprises a plurality of segments for each of the plurality of formats; resolving the request to a specific segment of the live stream based on the URL, wherein the resolving comprises: identifying the format of the live stream associated with the request from the plurality of formats based on the URL; and identifying a segment of the plurality of segments corresponding to the identified format to the user device in a response to the request.

The system also includes means for receiving, from the server, via the Internet, an identification of one or more particular additional content and in response to receiving the identification of the one or more particular additional content from the server, means for interrupting presentation of the content data; and presenting the one or more particular additional content. The system further includes means for resuming, presentation of the content data after presenting the one or more particular additional content.

摘要: A server may receive metadata associated with specific content in a transport signal stream from a content information service. The metadata may identify a point in time of the transport signal stream. The server may instruct an encoder to insert a marker into the transport signal stream corresponding to the point in time of the transport signal stream. The marker may indicate control of a trick mode to be enforced by a delivery platform subsequent to the point in time of the transport signal stream. The server may record the marker in a data store associated with the server.

In an example method, a plurality of content tags are received from a plurality of media content devices over a communication network. Each of the plurality of content tags may designate a location within a media content item. The content tags are processed to generate aggregated content tags for the media content item. The aggregated content tags may designate one or more portions of the media content item for modified playback. The aggregated content tags for the media content item are transmitted over the communication network to a first media content device separate from the plurality of media content devices.
