A challenge module analyzes the message and sends a challenge message to the sender if the sender is not in the recipient's address store. The challenge message includes a pseudo unique token for the sender recipient pair such that the sender must respond differently to each challenge message for a particular message. In one embodiment, the challenge message requires the sender to obtain a certificate from a certificate authority or a set of authorities.

    摘要: A multi-contact electrical connector wafer includes an insulating base and at least one bay on a first side of the base. A conductor is associated with the at least one bay and the conductor is adapted to contact a corresponding mating element. The wafer further includes a loading beam adapted to bias the first conductor toward the corresponding mating element upon deflection of the beam. A connector may be formed with a conductive component disposed in a connector housing defining a receptacle opening. The conductive component is arranged in the housing in a manner to allow the conductive component to move relative to the housing. As such, the connector can accommodate a mating connector of a first thickness or a mating connector of a second, different thickness. The connector may also be adapted to accommodate a mating connector that is inserted into the receptacle in a manner that is not collinear with respect to the receptacle.

    摘要: A communications network (e.g. fibre to the home (FTTH) or wireless) comprises a head end, to which outstations are coupled via a shared point-to-multipoint medium. The head end is arranged to transmit downstream to the outstations a sequence of frames comprising data frames and command frames. The command frames marshal control of upstream transmissions from the outstations. A first downstream command frame directed to a specific outstation indicates the beginning of a timeslot, and also indicates the timeslot duration (including an indefinite duration). Where the duration is indefinite, a second command frame directed to at least the same outstation indicates the end of the allotted time slot. Further methods are provided to optimise timeslot allocation, and to support addition and removal of outstations on the network.

    摘要: There is disclosed a system for designing circuits which involves pre-placing delay elements between circuit components susceptible to shoot-through due to effects of clock skew, each delay element having a physical form and at least one input terminal and at least one output terminal; determining which delay elements are not critical in preventing shoot-through; removing non-critical delay elements from the circuit; and replacing each removed delay element with a cell having a physical form equivalent to the physical form of the removed delay element and a wire connection between an input and an output of the cell equivalent to an input and output of the delay element. This wire cell has the effect of removing the delay element from the circuit without having to reposition the circuit components. This has the result that it is not necessary to re-position circuit components on the removal of delay elements and then to re-evaluate the circuit performance. Circuit design can be significantly improved.
