摘要： A liquid filter assembly is provided. The assembly includes a liquid filter cartridge and a housing. The liquid filter cartridge, includes, among other things, first and second, opposite, end caps each having a central aperture therethrough. A seal arrangement including a radially directed seal is mounted on a seal support of the first end cap that projects away from the second end cap. The cartridge includes a seal mount configured to define a seal plane non-orthogonal to a central axis of the cartridge. The housing includes a filter head and a housing sidewall. The filter head includes a filter head having a body, a top cover and a bottom aperture opposite the top cover. The housing extends through the bottom aperture. The cartridge as described is installed in the housing, with an end cap radially sealed against a tube in a bottom of the housing.

The preferred assembly includes a bypass valve arrangement and a suction filter arrangement. The suction filter arrangement preferably includes a dimensionally biased valve arrangement, preferably one which is devoid of a helical coiled spring, to control flow through the suction filter. A flow/pressure regulation valve, to allow flow from an interior of the assembly to a reservoir if needed, is preferably provided. Preferred serviceable filter cartridges are shown.

摘要： The filter head and filter housing define a liquid flow inlet path, a first liquid flow outlet path, and a second liquid flow outlet path. A filter media construction is positioned within the housing. The filter media construction, in combination with the housing, defines an unfiltered liquid volume, and a filtered liquid volume. A first liquid flow inlet path directs liquid from the liquid flow inlet to the unfiltered liquid volume. A first liquid flow outlet path directs liquid flow from the filtered liquid volume to the first liquid flow outlet. A second liquid flow outlet path directs liquid flow from the filtered liquid volume to the second liquid flow outlet. A first valve assembly selectively opens the second liquid flow path to passage of liquid therethrough in response to a first selected liquid pressure level within the filtered liquid volume. A second valve assembly comprises a first bypass valve assembly, and selectively directs fluid flow from the unfiltered liquid volume to the second liquid flow outlet, in response to a second selected liquid pressure level within the unfiltered liquid volume.

摘要： A liquid filter assembly comprises a filter cartridge and a filter head in fluid communication with the filter housing. A filter media construction is positioned within the housing. 摘要： The filter element assembly includes a three-way valve member internal to the assembly. The filter element comprises a primary filter construction defining an open internal volume, a first end cover, a second end cover, and a valve construction. The valve construction is positioned within the primary filter construction open internal volume and includes a valve member movable between first, second, and third valve positions. The first valve position blocks fluid flow through a bypass, such that fluid only flows through the primary filter construction. The second valve position permits fluid flow through a secondary filter construction. The third valve position permits fluid to bypass both the primary and secondary filter constructions, and proceed directly to the open internal volume and into an outlet. Methods for filtering are provided.
