摘要: Some embodiments include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for access point (AP) power save enhancements. AP power save enhancements reduce power consumption for APs including multi-link device (MLD) APs, mobile APs and mobile AP stations. Some embodiments include an uplink (UL) multi-user (MU)-Request to Send (RTS) power save feature, that allows an AP to be available while operating in a low power receive (LPR) state (e.g., low power mode) and transition to a full power mode to receive data using a bandwidth greater than 20 MHz. Some embodiments include a Target Wake Time (TWT) UL MU-RTS AP power enhancement feature that allows an AP to operate in the LPR during a TWT service period (SP). Some embodiments allow mobile devices (e.g., a smart phone) to operate in as an AP (e.g., a mobile AP, a mobile AP station) and reduce power consumption.

摘要: Some embodiments include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for access point (AP)-assisted AP transition. Using AP-assisted AP transitions, when the STA is associated with a first access point (AP) and is transitioning to a second AP, a station (STA) can transmit to the second AP a control signal including a first indication for sequence number (SN) maintenance. The STA can receive from the second AP responsive to the first indication for SN maintenance, a first downlink (DL) transmission including a next SN. The next SN can be a continuation of an SN sequence utilized by the first AP for one or more previous DL transmissions.

摘要: Multiuser (MU) Multi-TID (multi-traffic-identifier) transmission may be enabled in a resource unit (RU). To transmit an urgent payload as soon as possible, the urgent payload may be injected/included into the ongoing MU physical protocol data unit (MU PPDU), if possible. This may be accomplished by indicating to the latency-sensitive wireless station (STA) the ID of a companion (or buddy) station that has an assigned resource unit (RU) on which the STA may expect to receive the urgent payload, also referred to as the “overloaded RU.” Alternatively, an extra user field in the preamble of the MU PPDU may be used to indicate to the STA its station ID as well as the location of the overloaded RU. A receiver operating on an A-MPDU may select the RU it receives, and may identify (or determine) a wrong transmission based on the transmitter address.

摘要: A second electronic device that receives a frame is described.
