Abstract: One or more methods of operating an access node. Abstract: A system is configured for reconfiguration of a Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) pattern. The system is configured for obtaining data including a configuration for a Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) transmission carrying a physical broadcast channel (PBCH), the configuration specifying, for an SSB of the configuration, resource elements (REs) allocated for transmitting a primary synchronization signal (PSS) to a user equipment (UE) and REs allocated for transmitting a secondary synchronization signal (SSS) to the UE. The system is configured for selecting a set of REs that are unused in the configuration for the SSB transmission, specifying a filling sequence for extending a synchronization signal or an SSB to the set of REs that are unused in the configuration of the SSB transmission, generating data including an enhanced configuration for the SSB transmission that includes the extended synchronization signal or the extended SSBs, and transmitting the SSB transmission using the enhanced configuration.

Abstract: Some embodiments of this disclosure include systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media for use in a wireless network for scheduling intra-frequency measurements. Some embodiments are directed to a user equipment (UE). The UE includes processor circuitry and radio front circuitry. The processor circuitry can be configured to determine a collision signal status between an intra-frequency measurement signal and an uplink transmission signal. The processor circuitry can be further configured to determine a measurement gap status of the LIE. Moreover, the processor circuitry can be further configured to prioritize between the SSB measurement signal and the uplink transmission signal based on the collision signal status and the measurement gap status. Additionally, the processor circuitry can be further configured to perform a wireless measurement according to the prioritization between the intra-frequency measurement signal and the uplink transmission signal.

Abstract: Systems and methods for cross layer optimization for selection of a best or most preferred cell from conditional special cell (SpCell) change candidate cells are disclosed. Preferences/criteria for selecting a cell from these multiple compliant candidate cells meeting the conditional SpCell change conditions are discussed herein. These criteria may include, but are not limited to, for example, a cell quality, an inter-versus intra-frequency handover, bandwidth, component carrier (CC) use, band, carrier type, needs/criticality of the application, congestion, frequency range, multiple subscriber identity module (MSIM) considerations, etc.
