    摘要: A driver circuit for driving a piezoelectric element, including a charging circuit having a DC power source and a coil for charging the piezoelectric element, and a discharging circuit for discharging the piezoelectric element. When the piezoelectric element is charged, a first switching device in the charging circuit is held on until a voltage of the element reaches a predetermined level below a line voltage of the power source. A second switching device provided in the discharging circuit is turned on at the time when the first switching device is turned off or at a predetermined later time, and is turned off by the time when said first switching device is again turned on next activation of the piezoelectric element. A voltage limiter inhibits the voltage of the piezoelectric element element from exceeding the predetermined level. The driver circuit may be used for a dot-matrix printer, which may be adapted to discharge the piezoelectric element for a comparatively long time where a distance between adjacent two dots to be formed is larger than a predetermined value.

    摘要: An impact dot-matrix printer having a print head which includes a piezoelectric element and a print element such as a print wire activated by the piezoelectric element, wherein the print head is movable between a printing area and a non-printing area of the printer. A pressure detector is provided for detecting a printing pressure of the print element. The detector includes a pressure-sensitive element which is disposed in a predetermined position in the non-printing area, in which the print element is operable to act on the pressure-sensitive element. A voltage controller connected to the pressure detector and the piezoelectric element is provided for controlling a voltage applied to the piezoelectric element, based on an output of the pressure detector, such that the printing pressure coincides with a predetermined value. Since the printing pressure is varied with a temperature of the piezoelectric element, the voltage may be controlled based on the temperature of the piezoelectric element detected by a temperature sensor.

For this purpose, the elevator governor includes: a sheave on which a rope moving in response to the movement of an ascending and descending body of an elevator is wound, and which changes the rotation speed in one direction in response to the ascent speed of the ascending and descending body and changes the rotation speed in the other direction in response to the descent speed of the ascending and descending body; a fly-weight which is provided in the sheave and increases and decreases an outward moving quantity in response to an increase and decrease in the rotation speed of the sheave; a detector which is provided in proximity to the fly-weight and performs overspeed detection of the sheave when the fly-weight has moved outward by a predetermined quantity; and a stopper which is provided in proximity to the fly-weight and prevents the fly-weight from moving outward more than or equal to the predetermined quantity while the sheave is rotating in a predetermined direction which is either of the two rotation directions.

    摘要: A control system for a dot printer having a printing head mounting at least two printing elements thereon per row along a moving direction of the printing head. The printing elements are selectively driven according to a moving position of the printing head to print a dot at a desired column position on a printing paper. The control system comprises a grouping means for grouping dot data to be printed into two groups, wherein the grouping means first groups into one of the two groups the dot data to be printed at column positions spaced a distance equal to or greater than a moving distance of the printing head during a period when the same printing element can be driven, and secondly groups into the other group the remaining dot data not grouped in the first grouping step; and a driving means for driving the printing element assignable to each group on the basis of the data grouped to each group.     摘要: A printer of the type in which printing is performed in response to data supplied from a host computer and the printer is selectively rendered in an on-line mode enabling to receive the data from the host computer and in an off-line mode disabling to receive the data therefrom. A recording paper is firstly moved beyond a reference line by a desired length corresponding to a desired amount of upper margin of the recording paper. The recording paper is then moved backwardly by a distance between a print position and the reference line, whereby the desired amount of upper margin is reserved when printing is started. In another aspect of the invention, an elongated, web-like recording sheet is moved toward a cutting blade and is cut at an appropriate line on the sheet. Then, the sheet is backwardly moved by a predetermined distance toward the print position.
