摘要: In a lighting apparatus containing a high pressure discharge lamp, an alternating current supplied to the discharge lamp at the time of steady lighting of the frequency (basic frequency) selected from a range between 60 and 1000 Hz and a low frequency having a frequency selected from a range between 5 and 200 Hz lower than the basic frequency is generated alternately. The frequency of the low frequency wave is changed in response to the change of the lighting voltage of the discharge lamp. The supply period of the basic frequency is increased and decreased little by little by every predetermined time.

摘要: To maintain the shape of the projection on the electrodes of the tip end for a long time to extend the lifetime of a discharge lamp, a lighting device lighting a high pressure discharge lamp supplies alternating current such that an alternating current with a basic frequency at the time of the steady state lighting selected from a range between 60 and 1000 Hz and a low frequency of a half cycle with a frequency lower than the basic frequency are generated alternatingly. The alternating current is supplied such that the waveform with one polarity of the low frequency appears consecutively at least twice. It is also possible for the alternately generated low frequency to be lower than the basic frequency in a range from 5 to 200 Hz, and for the interval during which the basic frequency is supplied to be gradually increased and decreased at specified times.

摘要: A circulation pipe for a coolant is connected to a fuel cell. A pump and a heat exchanger are connected to the circulation pipe. A bypass pipe is connected in parallel with the pump. An ion exchanger is connected to the bypass pipe. An electronic cooling device is connected to the bypass pipe on an upstream side of the ion exchanger. The coolant, which is supplied to the ion exchanger, is cooled by the electronic cooling device to a predetermined temperature, so that the ion-exchange resins are prevented from being abnormally heated by the coolant.

摘要: An image inspection apparatus includes a pre-printed element reduction section that reduces influence of a pre-printed element on inspection and generates an inspection object image, and a comparative inspection section that compares the inspection object image with the additionally-recorded data, to inspect a performance level of a result of overprinting. Captured image data of the pre-printed paper image and the overprinted image is given to the pre-printed element reduction section. By using the captured image data of the pre-printed paper image, the pre-printed element reduction section reduces the pre-printed element included in the captured image data of the overprinted image and newly prepares the inspection object image.

摘要: An image reading apparatus includes two color line cameras and one monochrome line camera and captures a linear imaging area on printing paper. The imaging area is irradiated with illumination light by a line illumination part. When inspecting a printed image, a color image captured with the color line cameras and an original image are compared. An information element image such as a bar code is clipped from a monochrome image captured with the monochrome line camera, and target information indicated by an information element(s) is acquired. In the image reading apparatus, since the color image and the monochrome image are acquired from the same imaging area, it is possible to realize downsizing of the line illumination part and downsizing of the image reading apparatus.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes an image carrier which moves while carrying an image and a transfer roller including a roller base material which faces the image carrier and rotates. A concave portion is positioned on a peripheral surface of the roller base material. A grip unit on the concave portion grips a recording medium. An elastic layer is disposed on a peripheral surface of the roller base material. The transfer roller grips a recording medium by the grip unit when the concave portion faces the image carrier and passes the recording medium through a nip between the image carrier and the elastic layer when facing each other so that the image carried on the image carrier is transferred on the recording medium. A roller driving unit rotates the roller base material. A control unit controls the roller driving unit to adjust a timing for forming the nip.

摘要: A pattern-element extractor (51), one of functions implemented by a computer, extracts a plurality of pattern elements from a reference image, a region of which is displayed on a display (45). An input part (46) accepts an operator's selection of one out of the plurality of pattern elements as a reference pattern element, and a distinguishability checker (52) checks whether the selected pattern element is distinguishable from the other pattern elements and usable as the reference pattern element for pattern matching. A result of the check is notified to the operator, and an appropriate one out of the pattern elements in the reference image can be selected as the reference pattern element, by referring to the result of the check made by the distinguishability checker (52). Thus, misrecognition of the reference pattern element used for detecting a position of a target image relative to the reference image in pattern matching is prevented.
