Abstract: Disclosed herein is a process for preparing a zeolite material having an AFX framework structure including X2O3 and YO2 via interzeolite conversion, the process including (1) providing a mixture including a first zeolite material having a non-FAU framework structure including X2O3 and YO2 and an organic structure directing agent selected from the group consisting of diquaternary ammonium cation containing compounds, and (2) heating the mixture from (1) to form a second zeolite material having an AFX framework structure including X2O3 and YO2, wherein X is a trivalent element and Y is a tetravalent element, and where the organic structure directing agent is not 1,4-bis(1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane)butyl dihydroxide when the first material zeolite has a CHA framework structure. Further disclosed herein is the zeolite material having an AFX framework structure as obtainable or obtained from the process, and a method of using the same as a catalytically active material.

Abstract: The disclosure generally provides zeolites having the CHA crystalline framework and methods of preparing the same. Provided herein are CHA zeolites containing intergrowths, a controlled framework aluminum distribution, or both. Further provided are CHA zeolites wherein crystals of the zeolite material have a predominantly flake-like morphology as determined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Further provided are catalyst compositions, articles, and systems including CHA zeolites promoted with a metal.

Abstract: A process for preparing a zeolite having a CHA-type framework structure, the framework structure comprising X2O3 and YO2, wherein X is a trivalent element and Y is a tetravalent element, which includes (1) preparing a synthesis mixture comprising (A) a source for X2O3, (B) a source for YO2, and (C) a source for piperidinium cations represented by formula (I) wherein R1a is selected from C1-C8 alkyl and C3-C10 cycloalkyl, R1b is selected from C2-C8 alkyl and C3-C10 cycloalkyl, and R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 independently from each other, are H, hydroxyl or C1-C8 alkyl; and (2) subjecting the synthesis mixture to crystallization conditions to form a CHA zeolite.

Abstract: The disclosure provides methods of preparing small pore zeolites, the method including using a first organic structure-directing agent and a second organic structure-directing agent to crystallize the zeolites, wherein the first organic structure-directing agent is bis-quaternary ammonium cations, and the second organic structure-directing agent is mono-quaternary ammonium cations. Further disclosed are small pore zeolites having a controlled framework aluminum distribution, and selective catalytic reduction catalyst compositions, articles, and systems including such zeolites promoted with a metal.
