Abstract: A composition contains a thermoplastic polyisocyanate polyaddition product and a flame retardant, and essentially contains no melamine cyanuric acid. The polyaddition product is obtained by reacting, a substance reactive with isocyanate, a polyisocyanate, a chain extender, and is eventually in the presence of a catalyst and an additive. The flame retardant contains a phosphinate.

The present invention further relates to moldings comprising the compositions of the invention, and also to the use of the compositions of the invention for producing a foil and for coating a molding.
