摘要: The present invention relates to a thermoplastic polyurethane obtainable or obtained by reacting a polyisocyanate composition, a chain extender, and a polyol composition, wherein the polyol composition comprises at least one polyol (P1) which has a molecular weight Mw in the range from 500 to 2500 g/mol and has at least one aromatic polyester block (B1), wherein the polyol (P1) includes 20% to 70% by weight of the aromatic polyester blocks (B1), based on the overall polyester polyol (P1). The present invention further relates to a process for producing a shaped body comprising such a thermoplastic polyurethane, and to shaped bodies obtainable or obtained by a process of the invention.

摘要: An adhesive composition includes a polyurethane polymer, a solvent and a co-solvent. The polyurethane polymer is an internally and/or externally hydrophilized thermoplastic polyurethane having an Mw of ≥50000 g/mol. The solvent is a polar-aprotic solvent. The co-solvent is selected from water, a primary alcohol having ≤10 carbon atoms, a vicinal diol or a mixture of at least two of the aforementioned compounds. The solvent and the co-solvent are present in such amounts that they form a homogenous mixture without the formation of a second phase when combined together at 20° C. The hydroxyl group content is ≥1 weight-%, based on the total weight of the composition. The polyurethane polymer content is ≥10 weight-%, based on the total weight of the composition and the composition forms a single continuous liquid phase. Examples for solvent/co-solvent combinations are methylethyl ketone (MEK) and water or MEK and ethanol.

摘要: A catheter can include an extruded shaft that includes a lumen extending from a proximal end to a distal end and a sidewall that defines at least a portion of the lumen, the sidewall includes a siliconized polycarbonate polyurethane of a specified formulation. Due to the formulation, the sidewall can be alcohol resistant, which can, in some instances, permit alcohol locking of the catheter.

摘要: An alcohol-resistant siliconized polycarbonate polyurethane can include a soft segment and a hard segment. The soft segment can include a polycarbonate polyol and a polysiloxane, which can be present in an amount less than the polycarbonate polyol. The hard segment can include an isocyanate and a chain extender. Peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) devices can include one or more components that are at least partially formed from one or more formulations of the siliconized polycarbonate polyurethane catheter. The PICC devices can withstand alcohol locking, and can be power injectable both before and after alcohol locking events.

摘要: A polyurethane, in particular a thermoplastic polyurethane, is obtainable or obtained by reacting at least a polyisocyanate composition and a polyol composition. The polyol composition contains at least one polyester diol or polyether diol, having a number-average molecular weight in the range from 500 to 3000 g/mol, and at least one polysiloxane having two terminal isocyanate-reactive functionalities selected from a thio group, a hydroxyl group, and an amino group. A process can be used for preparing this polyurethane, and a molded body containing the polyurethane is useful. Foam beads based on polyurethane can be obtained or obtainable from the polyurethane, and a process can be used for producing foam beads. Corresponding bead foams are useful.

摘要: Polyester polyols are generally disclosed, including methods of making and using them. In some embodiments, the polyester polyols are incorporated into a block copolymer, such as a polyurethane block copolymer. In some embodiments, the polyurethane block copolymers can be used as compatibilizing agents, which can be used, for example, in polymer blends, polymer alloys, solutions, emulsions, as well as in extruded and injection molded articles. In some embodiments, at least a portion of the polyurethane block copolymer is derived from a renewable source.
