Abstract:
An improvement in the process for dyeing synthetic fibers containing anionic groups, e.g., acrylonitrile copolymers, with basic dyestuffs in chlorohydrocarbon dyebaths containing 0.1-4 percent by weight of water is obtained by utilizing a dyeing auxiliary having the formula WHEREIN R1 and R2, independently of one another are C14-C22-alkyl or C14-C22-alkenyl in which the total of the carbon atoms contained in R1 and R2 is 32-44; R3 is lower alkyl, haloalkyl or hydroxyalkyl; R4 is optionally substituted cycloalkyl, aralkyl or C1-C4-alkyl, or together with R3 forms a 5- or 6-membered heterocycle; and X( ) IS AN ANION.
Abstract:
Synthetic fibers containing NH-groups, e.g. polyamides are dyed by exhaustion in a dyebath comprising halogenated hydrocarbon and the amine salt or adduct of a dyestuff containing carboxyl and/or sulfonic acid groups.
