Abstract: Additives used for increasing the retention of fibers and fillers in the production of paper and in the treatment of sewage, the additives being copolymers of 85-95 % by weight of Mannichbases of (meth)acrylamide carrying at least one hydroxyalkyl group or being derived from heterocyclic sec. amines and 15-5 % by weight of tertiary or quaternary aminoalkyl(meth)acrylates.
