Abstract:
Monoazo dyestuffs which in the form of the free acid correspond to the formula
WHEREIN R1 is alkyl or aryl; R2 is hydrogen or alkyl; R3 is hydrogen, halogen or alkyl; R4 is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, or nitrile; p or m are 0 or 1 with the sum of the two being 1 or 2; and n is 1 or 2; and A may contain further substituents free of sulfo or sulfato, and their use for the dyeing of natural and synthetic fibre materials, especially for dyeing polyamide fibres. They give level dyeings of good yield with very good fastness to light. They are even absorbed well on polyamide fibres from a neutral to weak acid dye bath. By polyamide fibres there are here especially understood those of synthetic polyamides such as Epsilon -polycaprolactam or condensation products of adipic acid and hexamethylenediamine.
Abstract:
Monoazo dyestuffs which in the form of the free acid correspond to the general formula
WHEREIN R1 is hydrogen or alkyl; R2 is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, nitro, nitrile, carbonamide or carboxylic acid ester; R3 is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl or alkoxy; R4 is alkyl or aryl; R5 is hydrogen or alkyl, R6 is hydrogen, halogen or alkyl; R7 is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy or nitrile; X is C2-C4-alkylene, aralkylene or phenylene; Y is SO3H or, if X is phenylene, SO3H or a radical -SO2-NH-SO2-R8; and R8 is alkyl, aryl or dialkylamine. These dyestuffs are used for the dyeing of natural and synthetic fibre materials, especially for dyeing polyamide fibres. They yield level yellow to orange dyeings with very good fastness to light. Dyestuffs are absorbed well on polyamide fibres even in a neutral to weakly acid dyebath. The dyestuffs are employed in the form of the free acid or in the form of its salts, especially the alkali salts, such as the sodium or potassium salts or the ammonium salts.
Abstract:
Disazo dyestuffs are disclosed which, in the free acid form, have the formula
D R A W I N G IN WHICH R1 is H, Cl, Br, alkyl, alkoxy or nitro; R2 and R3 are H, Cl, Br, alkoxy or alkyl; R4 is alkyl or optionally substituted aryl; R5 is H or alkyl which may be substituted by CN, carboxamide or carboxyl; R6 is a substituent, such as alkyl, alkoxy, halogen, nitro, sulpho, or cyano; B is 1,4-phenylene or 1,4-naphthylene; M IS 1 OR 2; AND N IS 0, 1 OR 2. The dyestuffs are useful in the printing and dyeing of natural and synthetic fiber materials containing amide groups to give dyeings having good fastness properties especially wet processing and light fastness.
