摘要: Systems, devices and methods for alerting a crew of an aircraft or other mobile platform of a relevant condition associated with the aircraft are disclosed. One exemplary method comprises receiving data indicative of an existence of the relevant condition associated with the aircraft; receiving data indicative of a substantially real-time value of a dynamic parameter associated with the relevant condition; and displaying an awareness-enhancing indication associated with the relevant condition in a display area of the crew alerting system of the aircraft. The awareness-enhancing indication comprises a textual message and a supplemental indication indicative of the substantially real-time value of the dynamic parameter associated with the relevant condition. In various embodiments, the supplemental indication may be textual or graphical. The supplemental indication may also be indicative of a target value of the dynamic parameter.

摘要: Systems and methods for assisting a flight crew of an aircraft with controller-pilot data link communication (CPDLC) are provided. A display device defines a display area on a flight deck of the aircraft. A controller is operatively coupled to the display device and configured to control a presence of a CPDLC window containing a CPDLC message in the display area. A plurality of tactile buttons are disposed proximally to each other on a glare shield panel of the flight deck. The plurality of tactile buttons comprises a first tactile button operatively coupled to the controller for selectively instructing the controller to cause the presence of the CPDLC window in the display area by actuation of the first tactile button, and a second tactile button configured to permit the flight crew to respond to the CPDLC message by actuation of the second tactile button.

摘要: The present invention relates to a fly-by-wire type of aircraft flight control system having a pair of sidesticks for pilot and co-pilot input, respectively, and having logic that controls the priority of input as between the two sidesticks in certain aircraft flight situations. It allows either the pilot or co-pilot to ensure that his/her sidestick is the only one issuing flight control commands at any one moment in time by first pressing a simple latch button located, for example, on the glareshield in the cockpit and then maneuvering the sidestick in the desired manner to effectuate flight control, e.g., pitch and/or roll, of the aircraft.
