Abstract:
A tissue measurement system includes a clamp, a measuring head, and a deflection sensor. The clamp includes a first plate and a second plate releasably engageable with one another to secure a substantially planar biological tissue. In the engaged position, the first and second plates define at least a portion of a test section along which a portion of the secured substantially planar biological tissue is disposed. The measuring head is movable toward the test section and into contact with the portion of the substantially planar biological tissue disposed along the test section. The deflection sensor is responsive to movement of the biological tissue contacted by the measuring head.
Abstract:
A medical implant deployment tool and deployment method are disclosed. One aspect of the invention provides an implant system including an implant adapted for endovascular delivery and deployment; and a deployment tool adapted to deploy the implant, with the deployment tool having an actuation controller; a plurality of actuation elements adapted to apply forces to one or more implant deployment mechanisms and each adapted to extend along an actuation element path within a patient's vasculature; and an actuation element compensation mechanism adapted to compensate for differences in length between the actuation element paths.

Abstract:
The invention provides a two-part package and method of use for a pre-attached medical implant and delivery tool system. The package includes a wet compartment and a dry compartment and allows a pre-attached implant and delivery tool system to be at least partially stored immersed in a fluid in the wet compartment and at least partially stored in the dry compartment. In one embodiment the implant comprises a replacement heart valve, and the heart valve is stored inside the wet compartment while the heart valve delivery tool remains dry in the dry compartment.
Abstract:
Medical devices and delivery systems for delivering medical devices to a target location within a subject. In some embodiments the medical devices can be locked in a fully deployed and locked configuration. In some embodiments the delivery systems are configured with a single actuator to control the movement of multiple components of the delivery system. In some embodiments the actuator controls the independent and dependent movement of multiple components of the delivery system.
