Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method in a network node for handling neighbor cell relations in a cellular communications network, the network node serving user equipments in a first cell, wherein the network node, upon reception of an indication from a user equipment that a second cell is a potential handover candidate cell for said user equipment based on radio condition criteria, is configured to add said second cell to a neighbor cell relation list. The method comprises applying at least one additional criterion for determining if said second cell should be added to the neighbor cell relation list; and if said at least one additional criteria is not met, then rejecting the addition of said second cell to the neighbor cell relation list even if radio condition criteria for addition of the second cell to the neighbor cell relation list are fulfilled.
Abstract:
A system and method for priority actuation is provided. The system and method comprise a priority button. An access to the priority button is provided to an authorized user. The authorized user is enabled to initiate a priority actuation trigger for a priority service in at least one automated access system using the priority button. The automated access system is operably coupled to at least one server via a communication gateway. The server comprises a database of all authorized users of a priority service. Triggering the priority button results in initiating the priority actuation trigger for sending an authentication information of the authorized user to the server. The server authenticates the user as the authorized user enabled to access the priority service and provides the user with the priority service for the at least one automated access system.

Abstract:
A method (100) to manage transmission of a notification is disclosed. The method includes allowing a user equipment to send a notification to a network at the time of losing its radio coverage. The notification sent to the network includes the primary threshold when the user equipment determines it will reach the threshold value prior to losing its radio coverage. Further, the notification is sent to the network includes secondary threshold values when the user equipment determines that the primary threshold will not be reached prior to the user equipment losing its radio coverage.
Abstract:
A cell in a mobile terminal is selected from a set of serving cell candidates. A first serving cell candidate is evaluated from the set by estimating the distance from the mobile terminal to the first serving cell candidate and determining whether the estimated distance exceeds a predetermined distance, based on a criterion. In response to determining that the estimated distance exceeds the predetermined distance, no call (i.e., the executing process refrains from performing a call) on the first serving cell candidate occurs and a second serving cell candidate from the set is evaluated—even if the mobile terminal is receiving the strongest radio signals from the first serving cell candidate. In response to determining that the estimated distance exceeds the predetermined distance, identity of the first serving cell candidate is reported to an Operating Sub System (OSS).
Abstract:
Methods and arrangements, for supporting cell selection in a mobile terminal (UE1, 1101) associated with a set of serving cell candidates (Cell1, Cell2, Cell5, Cell7, Cell10). The method in the mobile terminal involves evaluating (804, 806) a first serving cell candidate (Cell5) from the set by estimating (804) the distance (d5) from the mobile terminal to the first serving cell candidate and determining (806) whether the estimated distance exceeds a predetermined distance, based on a criterion. The method further involves refraining (810) from performing a call on the first serving cell candidate if the estimated distance exceeds the predetermined distance and instead evaluating (812, 814) a second serving cell candidate (Cell1) from the set. The methods and arrangements enable selection (808, 816) of a serving cell, from amongst the serving cell candidates in the set, within a predefined distance from the mobile terminal.
