摘要: The present invention is a compensated coiled tubing unit for use in off-shore applications. The unit includes a mechanism for providing both vertical and horizontal heave compensation. The heave compensation mechanism is incorporated into the jacking frame of the unit. The coiled tubing unit also includes a flexible riser system that connects the wellhead to the coiled tubing stack.

摘要: A system for reducing the effects of heave movements of a wellhead in an offshore drilling device is provided that includes a frame; a coiled tubing stack supported by the frame; and a heave compensation system for controlling an amount of load transferred from the coiled tubing stack to the wellhead to reduce relative movements between the coiled tubing stack and the wellhead.
