Abstract: An internal combustion engine includes an internal combustion engine interior and a lubricant disposed in the internal combustion engine interior. The lubricant lubricates a component disposed in the internal combustion engine interior and the lubricant is a water-containing lubricant. In an embodiment, the internal combustion engine interior is fluidically connected to an environment surrounding the internal combustion engine by a ventilation device where the ventilation device has a semipermeable membrane which is impermeable to water and water vapor.

Abstract: A motor vehicle device has a device interior in which a water-containing lubricant is held in order to lubricate at least one component arranged in the device interior. The device interior is fluidically connected to a venting apparatus for pressure equalization with the environment surrounding the motor vehicle device. The venting apparatus has a semipermeable membrane, which is water-impermeable in a first direction, i.e. from a first surface of the membrane to a second surface. The first surface of the semipermeable membrane faces the device interior and therefore the semipermeable membrane seals off the device interior from the environment surrounding the motor vehicle device in such a way that water and water vapor cannot permeate.

Abstract: A drivetrain has at least one electric drive machine configured for driving a motor vehicle, a drivable rear motor vehicle axle for transmitting drive forces of the electric drive machine to a roadway surface, and a vehicle transmission which has at least one transmission ratio stage and which is configured for transmitting drive forces in the direction of the drivable rear motor vehicle axle. The transmission ratio stage can, in at least one operating mode of the drivetrain, be engaged by a transmission control unit. The vehicle transmission can, from the transmission ratio stage, be shifted by the transmission control unit into a neutral position in which a transmission output shaft is freely rotatable relative to a transmission input shaft. For control of the electric drive machine, an electric motor control unit is provided, wherein the electric drive machine is, by way of the electric motor control unit, operable at least in a motor operating mode and in a neutral mode, in which the electric drive machine is rotatable in a manner free from torque. The electric motor control unit and the transmission control unit are connected to one another by at least two control lines configured for transmitting control commands between the control units. A control command can be transmitted by the electric motor control unit via at least one of the two control lines to the transmission control unit, such that the transmission control unit sets the vehicle transmission into the neutral position.

Abstract: An electrical drive unit includes an electric motor having a first transverse end and an opposite second transverse end, and a gearbox including a main gearbox portion and a transverse projection portion. The motor is attached to the gearbox at the second transverse end of the motor and is located on a first transverse side of the main gearbox portion in a first transverse direction. The transverse projection portion of the gearbox includes at least one gear of the gearbox and extends from the first transverse side of the main gearbox portion such that the transverse projection portion and at least a portion of the at least one gear extends in the first transverse direction beyond the second transverse end of the motor.
