Abstract:
A transition duct assembly includes a shared connector, and a plurality of primary cooling pathways for cooling one or more systems or components. Each primary cooling pathway includes a transition duct in fluid communication with the shared connector, and a transition connector in fluid communication with the transition duct.
Abstract:
In some aspects, a master cylinder assembly for vertical lift aircraft is configured to move pressurized fluid through a conduit in response to applied movement of an input lever. A low pressure relief valve can be connected to a first conduit to limit pressure to a low level. An isolation valve can be connected to the first conduit and configured to isolate the low pressure relief valve from the conduit when engaged. A high pressure relief valve can be connected to a second fluid conduit to limit pressure to a high level. In some aspects, a rotor brake actuator is fluidly connected to the first conduit and the second conduit and configured to engage a rotor brake in response to hydraulic fluid pressure.
Abstract:
The present invention includes a fluid-fitting adapter body; a first connection mechanism in fluid communication with the fluid-fitting adapter body, the first connection mechanism including a first piston-style seal, wherein the first connection mechanism is operably configured to seal a connection to a first connection port of a multiport fitting, the multiport fitting including at least one additional connection port proximate to the first connection port, and wherein the first connection mechanism can be secured to the first connection port by manipulation of at least a portion of the first connection mechanism substantially along an axis that is substantially perpendicular to a surface of the multiport fitting in which the first connection port is located; and; a second connection mechanism in fluid communication with the fluid-fitting adapter body, the second connection mechanism being differently configured than the first connection mechanism.

Abstract:
A fluid connection system for fluidly connecting a pair of fluid reservoirs, such as fuel cells, includes a bellowed portion surrounding a connection portion through which fluid can flow between the two reservoirs. The bellowed portion allows for relative movement between the two reservoirs without breaking the fluid-tight connection between the two reservoirs. Also, a guard member surrounds at least some of the outer periphery of the bellowed portion. The guard member serves as a shield around the fluid-tight connection and bellowed portion, and thereby helps prevent damage to the fluid-tight connection in the event of a crash or hard landing.
Abstract:
The present invention includes a multiport fitting, including a multiport fitting body including a plurality of connection ports, wherein each connection port is operably configured to receive a connection mechanism of a fluid-fitting adapter, wherein the connection mechanism can be secured to the connection port by manipulation of at least a portion of the connection mechanism substantially along an axis that is substantially perpendicular to a surface of the multiport fitting body in which the connection port is located; includes a seal receptacle and a fastener receptacle, and is proximate to at least one other connection port of the plurality of connection ports.
