    摘要: In an exemplary embodiment, a device housing with a signal processing part, includes at least one recess into which at least one insert with a cladding of insulation material of high electric strength can be inserted as a signal transmission part, whereby both the recess wall and the insert are carriers of mutually cooperating primary and secondary coupling elements of a galvanically separating coupling location for energy and signal transmission, the coupling elements, however, only combining to form the coupling location when the insert is inserted into the recess. The object of the disclosure is to create such a device which allows of combinations consisting of the recess and the insert which are dimensioned to provide as large a volume or as large a surface area as desired without having a leakage current which may be possibly flowing assuming an inadmissibly high value as a result. This object is achieved in that the recess in the device housing is lined with an insulating body likewise of insulating material of high electric strength or that such an insulating body itself forms the recess, with the insulating body finally accepting the insert in its interior space.

    摘要: In an exemplary embodiment, primary and secondary coupling elements are disposed in a recess of a first housing and in a second housing which can be inserted into the recess of the first housing as a plug part. The coupling elements exhibit connection surfaces which are fitted to one another and via which a coupling location is produced upon production of the plug-type connection. The goal of the disclosure is to construct a galvanically separating coupling location of the type initially cited which, given particularly high electric strength and given optimum insulation, allows energy and/or signal transmission with an optimally high efficiency. This object is inventively achieved in that the coupling elements are suspended in a floating and resilient manner in the respective housings relative to at least one connection surface, preferably, however, relative to respective connection surfaces which enclose the respective coupling elements.

    摘要: A data acquisition device is disclosed for use in a patient monitoring system which includes a display device. The system also includes a pressure transducer which produces patient blood pressure signals. The data acquisition device includes terminals for receiving signals representing blood pressure from the pressure transducer. Circuitry in the data acquisition device, including multiplexers and a digital to analog converter conditions the signals representing blood pressure. The pressure transducer and the circuitry are collocated. The device also includes circuit paths for electrically coupling the pressure transducer and the conditioning circuitry. The conditioning circuitry is selectably coupled to the display to provide the conditioned signals to the display. The data acquisition device may be positioned independently of the display device.

    摘要: A shielded electrical connector having an elongated annular housing composed of an electrically insulative material molded so as to form an elongated structure for the connector and at least a portion of a grasp for a user of said connector. The housing defines outside and inside surfaces and front and rear ends for said connector. A contact holding portion composed of an electrically insulative material is positioned inside said annular housing and includes a plurality of electrically conductive signal contacts positioned therein so as to be completely surrounded by, yet spaced a distance away from, the inside surface of the housing. An elongated annular electrically conductive shield having inner and outer sides is insert molded with the housing so as to be disposed between its outside and inside surfaces. The elongated shield has a proximal end adapted for being coupled to a common shield associated with the plurality of signal conductors and a distal end extending to and encapsulated by the front end of the housing, yet the front end of the housing leaving an unencapsulated portion of the inside surface of the shield which is spaced a predetermined distance away from the front end of the housing. The un-encapsulated portion of the inside surface of the shield is adapted for making electrical contact with a shield of a mating multi-conductor connector so as to provide an effectively continuous conductive shield which completely surrounds the electrically conductive signal contacts.
