    摘要: A configuration is provided by which it may be determined whether a MEMS device is in a select state. The select state is defined by a position of a moveable element, which is moved with electrostatic forces upon activation of an electrode. The select state is detected with a sensing configuration that has first and second regions. The regions are generally separated such that they are electrically uncoupled unless the moveable element is in the position that defines the select state. A detector may be provided to indicate whether the first and second regions are coupled electrically.

    摘要: A method and system are provided for operating an array of such optical micromirrors. Electrodes associated with each of a plurality of optical micromirrors within the array are sequentially actuated by applying a voltage to each such electrode for a fixed time. The voltage applied to each of the electrodes is selected so that the optical micromirror with which that electrode is associated is positioned in a certain tilted position. The step of sequentially actuating electrodes is repeated to maintain the tilted positions of the plurality of optical micromirrors.

    摘要: Various embodiments include methods and systems to dilute a sampled particle-laden aerosol stream. In one embodiment, a system to dilute a sampled aerosol stream includes an aerosol sample inlet. A filter is coupled in fluid communication with and in parallel with a flow-monitoring device to receive the sampled aerosol stream from the aerosol sample inlet. The flow-monitoring device is configured to allow for a passage of particles contained in the sampled aerosol stream. A pressure sensor and a temperature sensor monitor the filter and the flow-monitoring device. An output from the filter and the flow-monitoring device may be directed to particle measurement or particle sizing instrumentation. An actual dilution ratio of the output sent to the particle measurement or particle sizing instrumentation is determined based on a nominal flowrate of the flow-monitoring device and thermodynamic properties of a gas comprising the aerosol stream. Other methods and apparatuses are disclosed.

In an embodiment, each pixel of an image is texture mapped to a three dimensional model. A time offset mask for the image and a value representing a speed of the camera are received. The time offset mask and speed values are used to create an offset mask. The offset mask is applied to the texture mapped model to correct for variations in camera position across an image.

    摘要: A gas system for a firearm having a gas block coupled to a barrel with a gas capture port in communication with a barrel gas port. A sleeve removeably mounted inside the gas block has: a gas conduit; a seat near the gas conduit; a projection; and a rod conduit communicating gas through the projection. A rod movably mounted in the gas block has a cup fitting over the projection.A valve has a knob coupleable to the gas block and a plug moveable within the pressure sleeve with a plunger engageable with the seat to adjust gas flow through the gas conduit to the rod conduit. Gas discharged from a fired cartridge flows against the cup to drive the rod to reload the firearm. The plug is moveable by the knob to a plurality of positions to alter the gas conveyed to the rod.
