摘要： Systems and methods are provided for managing a plurality of applications comprising application instances running on a plurality of computer servers. A system for managing application includes an application scheduler. The application scheduler receives at least one policy for managing the applications over the computer servers. The application scheduler also receives usage information indicating performance of the applications and the computer servers. The application scheduler then applies the at least one policy to the usage information to determine whether policy violations exist. The application scheduler then determines and executes a modification action of the applications in response to the policy violation.

摘要： A device for culturing and identifying microorganisms comprising a transparent vessel with a sealable cover, a nutrient substrate carrier that can be coated with a novel growth medium and a method of using the same are disclosed. A plurality of nutrient substrates may be applied to the nutrient substrate carrier and separated into distinct zones so that a variety of microorganisms may be tested for. The method comprises innoculating the nutrient substrate with a liquid sample and incubating the nutrient substrate so that the microorganisms can be identified by visual observation of the color change of the substrate through the transparent vessel.

Application providers are charged based on metered amount of computational resources utilized in processing their applications. Application providers access the network to distribute applications onto network to utilize distributed compute resources for processing of the applications. Application providers are further capable of monitoring, updating and replacing distributed applications. Apparatus and system includes plurality of computing resources distributed across a network capable of restoring and snapshotting provisioned applications based on demand.

摘要： The present invention provides a system of hardware and software that combine to efficiently integrate the various requirements for system performance and system reliability in a RAID system. A user of the present invention is able to select from a range of system performance and reliability configurations, independently of each other. From user specifications, the present invention initially constructs a user space which must be mapped onto the physical storage space in the array of disk drives. The present invention preserves the orthogonality of performance and reliability concepts through a series of mappings that relate to these concepts independently as it transforms user space into the physical space of the disk array.
