摘要： In an embodiment method, a central controller of a wireless system selects a common reference signal (“CRS”) pattern for muting on a first type of control channel by the central controller, wherein the first type of control channel is formed with resource elements (“REs”). The central controller identifies, for a set of user equipments (“UEs”) in a serving area of the central controller, a set of subframes including the first type of control channel, wherein the set of subframes has REs that overlap the CRS pattern for muting. The central controller mutes the overlapping REs in the first type of control channel, and frequency-division multiplexes the first type of control channel with data channels. The central controller transmits, to the set of UEs, the first type of control channel with the muted REs on the identified set of subframes.

The method also includes generating, by the communications controller, a location indicator identifying a location of the wireless node specific search space. The method further includes transmitting, by the communications controller, the first subframe to the wireless node, and transmitting, by the communications controller, the location indicator to the wireless node.

摘要： A method for transmitting resource allocation information to a wireless node in a communications system includes selecting a search space from one of a first search space and a second search space, the first search space associated with a first set of control channel parameters and the second search space associated with a second set of control channel parameters. The method also includes modulating the first control information, and mapping the modulated first control information onto the selected search space in a first subframe, where at least one of modulating the first control information and mapping the modulated first control information is according to a selected set of control channel parameters associated with the selected search space. The method further includes transmitting the first subframe to the wireless node, and transmitting a first parameter indicator identifying the selected set of control channel parameters to the wireless node.

The method also includes mapping, by the communications controller, modulated control information associated with the wireless node onto a second resource located in the data region of the subframe, and transmitting, by the communications controller, the subframe to the wireless node.
