摘要: An example of a neurostimulation system may include a stimulation output circuit to deliver neurostimulation to evoke responses from a patient using an evoking configuration, a sensing input circuit to sense one or more signals including the evoked responses using a recording configuration, and a control circuit. The control circuit may be configured to control the delivery of the neurostimulation using stimulation parameters including the evoking configuration, to control the sensing of the evoked responses using sensing parameters including the recording configuration, and to determine an evoking-recording parameter set by evaluating a sequence of evoking-recording parameter sets. The evoking-recording parameter set may include a set of the stimulation parameters suitable for controlling the stimulation output circuit to deliver the neurostimulation to evoke a target response and a set of the sensing parameters suitable for controlling the sensing input circuit to record the evoked target response.

摘要: An example of a system may include a processor and a memory device comprising instructions, which when executed by the processor, cause the processor to generate a user interface to receive a therapy efficacy indication from a human subject for an neurostimulation treatment, receive user input in the user interface to select a therapy efficacy indication of the neurostimulation treatment, and identify a modification to a neurostimulation program based on the user input. For example, a therapy efficiency indication received in the user interface may indicate a perceived stimulation intensity, a perceived pain level, and a perceived location characteristic of the neurostimulation treatment. Based on the therapy efficacy indication and other user input in the graphical user interface, an updated setting to modify a parameter setting and implement a change to the neurostimulation treatment with a neurostimulation device can be provided.

摘要: Methods and systems for detecting if a stimulation lead implanted in a patient's brain has moved. Lead movement occurring between a first time and a second time may be determined by comparing features extracted from evoked potentials recorded at the two times. The disclosed methods and systems are particularly useful for determining if a stimulation lead has moved between the time it was implanted in the patient's brain and the time that stimulation parameters are being optimized. Lead movement during implantation, during parameter optimization, and during or between other lead optimization processes may be determined as well.

摘要: A system or method for programming an electrical stimulation system can utilize any combination of a number of aids to facilitate communication between the patient and the programmer or clinician. For example, a three dimensional model or two dimensional representation of the human body or portion of the human body can be used by the patient to indicate sites of symptoms, stimulation effects or side effects. Non-textual icons or a graphical scale can be used by the patient to respond to queries by the programmer or clinician.

摘要: A method of monitoring electrical stimulation includes electrically stimulating tissue of a patient using at least one electrode of an implanted electrical stimulation lead. A distal portion of the electrical stimulation lead is disposed adjacent to the tissue of the patient to be stimulated. The electrical stimulation lead includes the at least one electrode and at least one light receiver disposed along the distal portion of the electrical stimulation lead. The method also includes receiving light from the tissue at the at least one light receiver of the lead. Other methods include emitting light from the lead to induce the emission of light or electrical signals from the tissue which are then received by the lead.
