Abstract:
This is an improved container having slidable storage cases propelled by a leaf spring into an open position after pushing down on a front catch. The container comprises a front half, a rear half and a handle, each molded from plastic. The front half and the rear half of the container are ultrasonically bonded together rotatably securing the handle between them. The front and the rear half have six case slots. The front half case slots are defined by a central vertical divider extending from the top to the bottom of the front half and three rows of horizontal M-shaped plastic dividers. Each M-shaped divider is essentially a spring with a lip on it at the central point of the M-shaped divider. The lip can be pushed down and snaps back into place. The rear half is divided into six case slots by a central vertical divider extending from the top to the bottom of the rear half and six sets of guide rails. Extending into the rear half from the back of the container are six leaf springs, one for each case slot. A case is inserted into a case slot over the lip of the M-shaped divider and between the guide rails in the rear half. The rear end of the case pushes against the leaf spring causing the leaf spring to coil or become tense and push against the rear of the case. The front lip catches the front end of the case and holds the case in a closed position. To pop the case out of the container, the front lip is pushed down, the leaf spring releases pent-up tension and the case is propelled out of the container into an open position.
Abstract:
A security package having a slidable locking structure to retain a CD, cassette or the like in the security package. The slidable locking structure has a stationary surface which contains a T-shaped protrusions each having a lever arm. A slide plate contains recesses for receiving each end of the lever arm, apertures adjacent to these recesses and a lip along an edge. The security package is locked when the slide plate is slid to engage the lever arms into the recesses allowing the lip to extend over the holding structure to retain the CD, cassette or the like. A key which mates with the apertures is used to apply a simultaneous uniform force to release the lever arms from the recesses.
Abstract:
A semi-conductor transport container is described, which includes a box, a door and an actuated rotary retainer attached to the sidewall of the box to thereby prevent movement of the wafers within a wafer cassette during transportation and storage. The rotary retainer includes flexible fingers that apply a slight force against the wafers when the box is engaged with the box. The rotary retainer is simple, requires less moving parts, and rotates automatically, completely away from the wafers when the box is disengaged from the door. Also, the box seals with the door, when engaged with a door, thereby creating a particle free storage area.
Abstract:
A device for opening security packages used to protect audio-visual media from being stolen is disclosed. The security package opening device includes a base which assists with proper positioning of the security package to be opened. It also includes a slidable opening mechanism which, when slid forward, automatically causes key elements to enter the locking means of the security package. The opening mechanism then opens the security package permitting the contents of the security package to be removed.
