    摘要: A hologram (and related hologram element) contains and exhibits a holographic image when illuminated and viewed on angle and with the holographic image gradually fading when viewed increasingly off angle in 1st-3rd directions. This hologram also contains and exhibits a monochrome wash surface that obscures (partially or totally) the holographic image when viewed in a 4th direction as the hologram is increasingly rotated off angle in a 4th direction through a range of angles. The hologram can be fabricated with a variety of color choices for the monochrome wash surface. The hologram is useful in security and authentication applications and is used in a method provided herein for authentication of an article.

    摘要: Process for improving ozone resistance of photosensitive flexographic relief printing plates prepared from at least 30% by weight of a block copolymer as defined, at least 1% by weight of at least one addition polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated compound, and a polymerization initiator wherein there is applied to the dry relief surface of said plates a solvent solution containing at least 1% by weight of a nickel or zinc dialkyldithiocarbamate compound where alkyl is from 1 to 4 carbon atoms. The treated plates which possess improved ozone resistance are useful for flexographic printing.

    摘要: Toner particles of an intimate mixture of 25 to 75% by weight of substantially colorless, inert, nonelectroscopic spheroidal-shape polymer particles of size distribution in the range of greater than 5 to less than 60 .mu.m, not more than 15% of the polymer particles being less than 10 .mu.m or greater than 50 .mu.m equivalent spherical diameter, and 75 to 25% by weight of colorant particles having a size distribution within the range of 0.2 to 30 .mu.m and not more than 50% of the colorant particles being less than 1 .mu.m particle size. Ionic copolymer spheroidal particles are preferred. The toner particles are useful for color development of tacky areas by depositing and distributing the toner particles by means of a pad, including an applicator apparatus comprising a housing for toner, a free moving weight in the housing for agitating the toner, means to release toner from the housing, and at least two hinged pads mounted on the housing.
