Abstract:
An improved automated material handling system that allows an overhead hoist supported by a suspended track to access Work-In-Process (WIP) parts from storage locations beside the track. The automated material handling system includes an overhead hoist transport vehicle for transporting an overhead hoist on a suspended track, and one or more storage bins for storing WIP parts located beside the track. Each storage bin is either a movable shelf or a fixed shelf. To access a WIP part from a selected shelf, the overhead hoist transport vehicle moves along the suspended track to a position at the side of the shelf. Next, the movable shelf moves to a position underneath the overhead hoist. Alternatively, overhead hoist moves to a position above the fixed shelf. The overhead hoist is then operated to pick a desired WIP part directly from the shelf, or to place one or more WIP parts directly to the shelf. Once the WIP part is held by the overhead hoist, the overhead hoist transport vehicle moves the WIP part to a workstation or processing machine on the product manufacturing floor.

A system, computer readable media, GUI, and apparatus are provided that are configured to generate and display an intellectual property rights profile for a media presentation. Information to be included in an intellectual property rights profile may be entered into a provided data entry template by, for example, a user or administrator of the media presentation. Uploaded documents may be added to an intellectual property rights profile and later accessed by a subsequent user. In some cases, a status, for example, complete or incomplete, may be determined for an intellectual property rights profile and an action may be initiated based on the status.
Abstract:
A treatment for articulated joint injuries and maladies, whether pre- or post-operative or degenerative in nature, and more specifically to systems and/or devices that facilitate joint recovery by applying constant microclimate cooling/heating and optional pressure to an affected joint in a secure, comfortable and reliable manner, even during repeated joint flexure or movement.
Abstract:
A constant or controlled temperature microclimate protective system capable of providing either cooling or heating. Such a system may be used alone or in combination with protective armor without degrading the force impact integrity of the protective system. When used alone, the microclimate system of the present invention may be constructed into a garment configuration for personal use or a sleeve-type configuration for use with one or more electronic devices. When used in combination, the microclimate system may be integrally incorporated into a protective armor system, releasably attached or held within the protective armor system by means including but not limited to a pocket or pouch, or worn as a separate element underneath a protective armor system. The microclimate system may comprise a plurality of cells containing phase change material providing one or more transition temperature points while further assisting in impact shock attenuation.

Abstract:
Disclosed is both an apparatus and method for thermally conditioning a body in an infant or child car seat. The apparatus includes an envelope containing a phase change material and an insert compartment residing within the car seat adapted to receive the envelope wherein the envelope resides within the insert. The method providing an envelope containing a phase change material and inserting the envelope into a compartment residing within the car seat adapted to receive the envelope for conditioning the body.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for optimizing the transmission of video configuration data in a system comprising a host computer and a display monitor. The invention comprises a wireless video source adapter connected to the host computer and a wireless video sink adapter connected to the monitor. Upon system startup, the video sink adapter acquires EDID information from the monitor and transmits it to the video source adapter, which does not activate its connection and indicate its presence to the host computer until after receiving the EDID information. The video source adapter then supplies the EDID information to the host computer in response to EDID requests from the computer. In this manner, the video source adapter acts as a virtual proxy for the display monitor from the point of the view of the host computer. The host computer then uses the EDID information to configure its video signal to match the parameters of the display monitor.

Abstract:
A highly efficient Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) that allows an overhead hoist transport vehicle to load and unload Work-In-Process (WIP) parts directly to/from one or more WIP storage units included in the system. The AMHS includes an overhead hoist transport subsystem and at least one vertical carousel stocker having a plurality of storage bins. The overhead hoist transport subsystem includes an overhead hoist transport vehicle traveling along a suspended track defining a predetermined route, which runs adjacent to the carousel stocker, thereby allowing the overhead hoist transport vehicle to access a WIP part directly from one of the storage bins. At least one of the storage bins includes a movable shelf operative to move laterally from a first position along the carousel path to a second position near the overhead hoist transport vehicle. The storage unit is at least partially open to allow the movable shelf to move to the second position, thereby allowing the overhead hoist to access a material unit directly from the movable shelf for subsequent transport along the track between various locations within a product manufacturing facility.
Abstract:
A multifunctional robot tool includes a pair of driven fingers configured as a gripper and a blade depending from each finger. The blades are configured as a digging spade when closed together by the fingers. A knife is associated with at least one blade for cutting wire.
