Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a conveyor system for transporting a workpiece. The conveyor system includes a drive assembly and a carrier plate. The drive assembly includes a frame, a drive belt, and a drive mechanism supported by the frame and engaging the drive belt. The carrier plate is adapted to support a workpiece and is disposed on the drive belt to move with the drive belt.
Abstract:
Apparatus for processing broadband impulses signals of low repetition rate includes a tuner for receiving broadband impulsive signals of low repetition rate and providing an output signal characteristic of the amplitude and spectral content of the received input signal. Resolution bandwidth filters coupled to the tuner output each have a different bandwidth that determines the measurement resolution and influences the sensitivity and transient response to low repetition rate impulsive signals. At least one radio frequency switch selects a resolution bandwidth filter for coupling to and associated one of at least a peak detector, an average detector and an envelope generator. A gate generator coupled to the peak detector, the average detector and the envelope generator furnishes a gating signal to each to provide a peak signal, an average signal and an envelope signal respectively during a selected gating interval. A microprocessor is coupled to the peak detector and the average detector.
Abstract:
A sensor for condition monitoring the high voltage insulation of an electrical, generation, transmission or distribution system and/or an item of plant is described. The sensor comprises an impedance measurement unit that connects directly, via a single point of connection, to the electrical system to be tested. The electrical components of the impedance measurement unit are arranged so that high frequency partial discharge signals and low frequency power cycle information signal are preferentially transmitted through separate branches. Analysis of these separated signals thus enables extraction of information about the insulation of the electrical system being monitored. Safe operation of the sensor for users is also achieved through an opto-electronic circuit being employed to control the impedance measuring unit.
Abstract:
An automated guided vehicle and a method of controlling an automated guided vehicle which are capable of varying the travel path of the automatic guided vehicle in order to reduce wear patterns created in the floor of the material handling facility. The travel path of the AGV is varied by intentionally applying a deviation from a selected predetermined route along which the AGV is traveling.
Abstract:
A device and method is provided for use in connection with electrically grounding an automated guided vehicle. A grounding strap is suspended from the automated vehicle for contacting an electrical conductive ground device mounted to a floor along a travel path of the automated guided vehicle. In operation, the grounding strap contacts the electrically conductive ground device to electrically ground electronics used in connection with the guided vehicle.

Abstract:
A modular conveyor system is disclosed which includes a plurality of non-contiguous, freestanding pedestals, arranged in two parallel rows. Each of the pedestals includes a support roller for contacting the bottom surface of a pallet placed on top of it, and the support rollers are connected to one another and to a drive by a series of belts. The system can easily be modified to accommodate loads of different widths, lengths and weights by moving the pedestals to correspond to the dimensions of the new load.
