The invention relates to an automated sprayer for spraying the walls of a bath and shower enclosure with a cleanser. The sprayer has a housing that can be mounted inside the shower enclosure and that defines a tray in which an inverted bottle of cleanser is stored. The bottom of the tray has a tube extending downwardly along a longitudinal axis through which the cleanser can pass. A motorized head disposed beneath the tube can be rotated about the axis for metering cleanser from the bottle and spraying cleanser outward. The sprayer includes timer circuitry that delays commencement of a spray for a set time and automatically stops spraying after a predetermined period. The sprayer also includes a system for signaling the beginning of a spray cycle including audio and visual alarms. The invention focuses on methods of using such equipment, as well as a container for supplying such equipment.

A method of reducing light-induced degradation of alkaline hypochlorite solutions when packaged in a container which is in whole or in part transparent or semi-transparent is described. The method involves incorporating at least one UV blocker and at least one tinting agent in at least the transparent or semi-transparent portion of the container, incorporating a UV blocker-tinting agent combination in a wrap which overlays at least the transparent or semi-transparent portion of the container or incorporating at least one UV blocker and at least one tinting agent in a container and/or a wrap overlaying the container. The container and wrap is composed of plastic such as polyethylene terephthalate, polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, or polyvinyl chloride. The UV blocker is present in a concentration of about 0.01-2.0% by weight. The tinting agent is present in a concentration of about 0.01-2.0% by weight. The UV blocker-tinting agent combination serves to provide reduction in transmission of UV and visible light in a wavelength range of from about 300-450 nm. The alkaline hypochlorite solution preferably contains sodium hypochlorite. The invention is also directed to the alkaline hypochlorite solution in combination with a container for the solution, the container being in whole or in part transparent or semi-transparent and having at least one UV blocker-tinting agent combination present in relation thereto.

Bottles made of metallocene polypropylene (mPP) for storage and dispensing reservoirs for fragrance compositions, in particular fragrance oils, are described. The mPP bottles can be used in warmer units for slow release dispensing of the fragrance therein. The metallocene polypropylene bottles can be produced by extrusion or injection blow molding, injection molding, injection stretch blow molding (single or two stage), or other suitable molding process. The mPP bottles may optionally have at least one barrier coating layer and/or adhering layer. The mPP bottles may optionally be fluorinated. The mPP bottles have good clarity and possess the required physical properties needed when the bottles are filled on a production line.
