摘要: An image forming apparatus is capable of easily performing jam processing. When an occurrence of a jam of a sheet which is conveyed on a conveying path is detected, the image forming apparatus displays a jam processing display screen which guides processing in accordance with a position where the jam has occurred. After the processing in accordance with the jam processing display screen is performed, if a state of the jam remains unchanged, the image forming apparatus performs forced feeding, which forcibly conveys the sheet to a predetermined position. The image forming apparatus displays the jam processing display screen urging to perform processing in accordance with the position of the sheet after the sheet is forcibly conveyed.

摘要: A controller of an image forming apparatus calculates a density difference between a measurement result of a toner image having the highest density formed on a photosensitive drum, which is obtained by an image density sensor, and the highest density of a density target. When the density difference falls within a predetermined range, the controller generates a tone correction table based on a density value of a first toner image formed with a plurality of densities including the highest density, and sets, based on the density difference, an exposure amount of laser light to be applied to the photosensitive drum by an exposure device. When the density difference falls out of the predetermined range, the controller generates the tone correction table based on a density value of a second toner image having a larger number of tone levels than that of the first toner image.

摘要: An image forming apparatus including: a sheet container; a sheet conveyer; a sheet detector; and a controller, wherein, in a case where a leading edge of a first sheet is positioned downstream of a first position in a conveyance direction and a trailing edge of a second sheet preceding the first sheet is positioned downstream of a second position located downstream of the first position when the first and second sheets are stopped based on a result of the sheet detector, the controller causes the sheet conveyer to convey the first sheet in the conveyance direction, and in a case where the leading edge of the first sheet is positioned upstream of the first position when the first and second sheets are stopped, the controller causes the sheet conveyer to convey the first sheet in an opposite direction to return the first sheet to the sheet container.

When it is determined that sheets are run out based on a signal supplied from a sheet sensor (131a) of a cassette being used after exposure is started based on image data of a certain page, cleaning is performed on a secondary transfer roller (106) and exposure is started based on the image data of a target page before the cleaning is terminated.

摘要: When information about weight of a sheet indicates weight less than a predetermined weight, a sheet stacking apparatus configured to align sheets to be stacked on a stacking tray discharges the sheet onto the stacking tray while overlapping the sheet with another sheet by an overlapping unit, and, when the information about the weight of the sheet indicates weight not less than the predetermined weight, the sheet stacking apparatus discharges the sheet onto the stacking tray without overlapping the sheet with another sheet by the overlapping unit.
