Abstract: In an ultrasound diagnosis apparatus according to an embodiment, processing circuitry obtains volume data corresponding to at least one cardiac cycle and being taken of a region including the right ventricle of a patient. The processing circuitry estimates motion information of a tissue in the region by using the volume data. The processing circuitry calculates information including at least one selected from between wall motion information and volume information related to the right ventricle, on the basis of the motion information of the tissue. The processing circuitry outputs the calculated information. The processing circuitry corrects first motion information of the right ventricular outflow tract, which is an outflow tract of the right ventricle, by using second motion information of a site that is positioned in the vicinity of the right ventricular outflow tract and exhibits motion similar to that of the right ventricular outflow tract.

Abstract: An ultrasound diagnostic apparatus according to an embodiment includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry sets a ROI in ultrasound image data that corresponds to at least one temporal phase and is among moving image data of two-/three-dimensional ultrasound image data acquired while using a region containing a tissue in motion as an image taking target. The processing circuitry obtains first position information of an estimated ROI based on movement information and second position information of an estimated ROI based on information other than the movement information, in ultrasound image data corresponding to the other remaining temporal phases within an acquisition period of the moving image data. The processing circuitry tracks the ROI, by obtaining position information combining the first and second position information based on an index related to reliability of the movement information, as position information of the ROI.

Abstract: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus according to an embodiment includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to acquire a function index value of each heart chamber for two heart chambers, including the left ventricle, included in a moving image of a heart. The processing circuitry is further configured to generate an image by superimposing a range suggestion image on a two-dimensional coordinate space. In the two-dimensional coordinate space, the processing circuitry allocates the function index value of the each heart chamber to each display dimension corresponding to the each heart chamber and defines the functional index value of the left ventricle as an output coordinate. In the range suggestion image, the processing circuitry colors the range suggestion image according to predetermined normal range and abnormal range for the functional index value of the left ventricle.

Abstract: In an ultrasound diagnosis apparatus according to an embodiment, processing circuitry obtains volume video data of a patient acquired by a transesophageal echocardiography probe. The processing circuitry sets, with the volume video data, a three-dimensional coordinate system that matches a display orientation of image data of the patient acquired by a body-surface ultrasound probe, on the basis of a positional relationship between the transesophageal echocardiography probe and the patient. The processing circuitry causes a display screen to display image data generated from the volume video data by using the set three-dimensional coordinate system. The processing circuitry receives, from an operator, a designation related to calculating movement information in a region of interest of the patient, the designation being received in an image displayed on the display screen. The processing circuitry calculates the movement information by performing processing including a tracking process, while using the volume video data.

Abstract: An ultrasonic wave diagnostic apparatus according to an embodiment includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry acquires a plurality of pieces of volume data obtained through image capturing of a region including the cardiac ventricle of a subject for a predetermined duration. The processing circuitry estimates motion of tissue of the cardiac ventricle by using the pieces of volume data. The processing circuitry calculates, based on a result of the estimation, cardiac ventricle information indicating at least one of wall motion information and volume information related to the cardiac ventricle. The processing circuitry calculates, based on a result of the estimation, annulus information related to the size or shape of an annulus position of a valve related to inflow or outflow of blood current at the cardiac ventricle. The processing circuitry outputs the cardiac ventricle information and the annulus information.

Abstract: An ultrasound diagnosis apparatus according to an embodiment includes processing circuitry. Every time an ultrasound image satisfying a predetermined condition is generated, the processing circuitry is configured to perform a position aligning process between the ultrasound image satisfying the predetermined condition and a reference image obtained in advance. The processing circuitry is configured to identify, within the ultrasound image satisfying the predetermined condition, a region of interest set in the reference image, on the basis of a result of the position aligning process and to track the region of interest in ultrasound images in a time series that are newly generated by the image generating unit during or after the position aligning process.
